  1. Guy's I getting 2 Kyosho 06 Buggy's. One is a Range Rover 06 Buggy, and the other is a Kyosho Datsun Stepside (You see I'll rebuild the Stepside, and keep the other one for spares). However, as for the gearbox. I'll see if I can fit ball bearings inside. Front wheels too... But my question is should, I run the gearbox dry, or use grease on all the gears, or put oil inside, as I'm not sure..But I do know that the clutch is inside the gearbox though (Weird eh??) 0

Thanks. Though I already have a repros decal set. I just need a break shoe , and a body hook. Because the buggy didn't come with them, as for my Assault.. I'm fitting a vintage kyosho GT15 Engine (They were in used in the kyosho Hoppin Mad) ,so I've fitted another spacer between the chassis. Now it won't flex using the more powerful engine, and as for the radio box. I've drilled and tapped four 2.6mm holes in the chassis, so I can screw the box to the chassis (Thin alloy plate under the box). Now no cable ties... Oh by the way. I've made a gasket for the counter gear casing and drill a hole (so I can add some Teflon oil in there). Because there are 2 gears in the box, and I would recommend replacing all the bushings in the Assault with ball bearings..... We all know that the vintage kyosho Assault is the best looking buggy around eh??..

Too thick they might be. But I do have some, so I'll try it thanks for the info. Also I am missing the break shoe that sticks to the counter gear. Any idea for that problem???

Kev would Neoprene Rubber Fender Washers be OK or would the nitro fuel destroy them..

Thanks for the info, as that Assault is very nice. Though he made the servo tray out of aluminum. Mine is a Carbon Fiber one. Thinking more about it. Maybe I can make a thin round aluminum washer (No hole), and fit it inside the cap with a rubber washer (I'll see if I can find one on eBay). You see the tank still has a pressure nipple, so I don't need to put a hole in the rubber washer. Oh the reproduced parts that I found was the Body, Wing (Anyone know of a painting service (For a fee) and the decal set..

    kyosho assault

Hi all. I have a nice vintage Nitro kyosho Assault that I bought off eBay, and the buggy was never driven. Though the owner did try to start the OS. CZ-1 (Engine is nice and clean like the rest of the buggy). But I have stripped it down and polished the alloy, and started to rebuild it with carbon parts, and I'll fit the longer kyosho optima shocks, and a kyosho GT15 engine (Has a pull start)..Also (I hate to brag).. I have amassed a lot of spare parts for my Assault over the last 6 months (From eBay.de) I was able to get a complete chassis, diffs, counter gears, wheels, tires, gearboxes (with all the parts inside), body, wing, and lots more (Filled a plastic container). But one problem is that I unable to find a new fuel tank (You see the rubber primer in the cap has perished), so I removed it, and now the hole on cap is open.. Does any anyone have solution to the problem, as I would be greatly apprenticed. You see all other kyosho tanks are too big (Not much room in the Assault)...
