  5. Try me! I drill and machine 6068 alloy on my little (!) cnc almost daily My Facebook group - mainly 1/12 oval, but there's loads of examples of the work we do https://www.facebook.com/groups/LargeIT/
  6. Dont throw the old one away! you can press new pins into them using a vice - pull the old ones out using a decent pair of side cutters for new dogbone pins I've used everything from drill blanks to chunky body clips
  7. Ooops - my man cave has been keeping me captive too long, cheers for that. feel a bit silly now
  8. Wow! I must get out more, how long has this been around then? http://www.fusionhobbies.com/product/58514-tamiya-mud-blaster-ii

  10. Dont overlook the range of Mardave 1/12 cars, larger range of shells too - including MK1 Escort saloon and van. They also have a huge racing scene in the UK - virtually every county has 2-3 clubs racing them
  11. As the title says - its a good runner, quick but could do with a clean up :) http://cgi.ebay.co.u...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  12. check out the Flysky GT2B these have interchangeable grips for small hands and are mega cheap, I've been importing Flysky for 3 years now, fantastic bits of kit

  14. They are Futaba FX10 parts, proper suspension - not sure I'm too keen on the handling increase - it's lost it's charm a bit
  15. Hi all wonder if someone with the knowledge could give me a hand with this. Today I managed to score a sweet little TGS - I think it is anyway - its a TT-01 with a different chassis tub and a 12ish sized engine, but it has a small running problem. It starts instantly, best starting nitro car ever! but it wont keep running when I take off the glostart - it starts 'misfiring' when I take power off the glow plug. I know you can get glow plugs in different 'heats' could going to a different one solve the problem? I dont know what is in it at the moment so dont know whether to go up or down? Thanks in advance
  16. I had a play a couple of years ago mixing up clod steering. In the end I modified the transmitter, it was a 4 channel and I used seperate channels for each servo, I then piggy backed the wiring from the appropriate pots inside the transmitter so that 1 stick movement controlled 2 servos - on separate channels. by fitting a remote switch to the servo reverse on the rear steering, I could switch between 'normal' and 'crab' steering. I did write it up in a tutorial on here but like I said it was a while ago Theres a highlighted version here - http://ukrcrc.com/fo...t=1907&start=30 hope this helps with ideas, I was going to do exactly the same with the throttle as well so that I could have switchable 'dig' - I'll do it someday lol Found it! http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=91993&id=24931
  17. I find the power switch in the steering wheel a godsend - no more flat battery beeping from the boot because your transmitter has turned itself on again.... and the latest version has a lipo battery pack included - with a usb charging lead, top stuff
  18. I stock all the Flysky range - including the GT3C - in silver £50.50 posted in the UK http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151108998447240&set=oa.262706250482374&type=1&theater

  20. I made the pattern for the first one when I was still at school, it was made to fit an extended Mardave ministock chassis, the wide arches at the rear were to take a 6 cell racing pack sideways, I sold it to a company called MMD - Motile Model Development. I believe the original Mardave V-Dub shell was made from this in the late 80's At the time I was paid £200 for the pattern - not bad for a 15 year old! Im not sure who was responsible for the second shell you've pictured, it popped up about 10 years ago, the rear spoiler has been removed, my one was always a bit of a pain to mould, the top/rear edge ended up very thin and split easily, and the side skirts have been moulded in - again for a similar reason, the front edges ended up very thin and didn't take impacts well. I'm slightly intrieged to know where you found a yellow chassis drilled to take Cobra/V10 battery mounts - or did you paint it?

  22. If you have no use for them, how much for the lot? I can add them to my collection
  23. They are Mardave contacts, as used on V12's http://www.mardave.co.uk/electrics/electro...-product-1.html
