  1. Be sure to post a picture of it when you have it done!!
  2. Wild One would probably interest me more than any of the others.
  3. For 7-8 quid how long would that motor last before it's knackered?
  4. Ye it does nearly always and somtimes it flips my box aswell scratching my new paint You could put an old cpu heat sink on your 101 with some termal glue and that might make the 101 more usuable with lower turn motors, Dunno if I'd bother though I'd just get a better esc. Seen some good enough ones for 30quid range.
  5. Oh I see, well I flew the nest a few months ago and living with my sadistic gf now
  6. The esc situation is somthing I want to tackle at some point, those Annsman/Venom motors are cheap and fast for mucking about in. To be honest though my current setup is quick enough for me for now. Had it down the carpark of the local sports centre today and did some nice opposite locking in the damp tarmac. Fun!
  7. It was foam used from an old pair of hi fi headphones, I would assume foam being used near electrical contacts such as a head set would have certain tolerances towards heat/sparks. I did not realise how hot the motor in this thing gets so I would suggest you test out whatever foam/sponge material you use in an oven or somthing and see if it melts or crumbles to pieces. If it can withstand a reasonable temperature then I'd wrap it around it and go play in the sand Thats my plan anyways
  8. Curious to know if their are any Irish forum users here? Cheers
  9. Ye it is the simplist thing in the world to make..Go for it! It is still in the testing phase, need to check to see if it crumbles over time..
  10. The sport tuned made a big differance I think, wheelies twice as long now. A simple airfilter I made, some people have done similar. Literally some thin sponge I found in the house wrapped around the motor with cable ties. Seems to work fine
  11. To my knowledge they are identical except the material their made from is differant or there is a stamp of some sort on the inside of the re re shell. I read somewhere about it on here.
  12. I get the wheel wobble aswell, one of my front tyres just wont sit perfectly on the rim no matter what I do so I have to live with it. Might buy those hpi wheels and tyres for it anyways because they look somewhat cooler. Seen a few sandwich box's with them and they look good.
  13. Somewhere down the line I will change the esc and get a 17T or a 19T for it. I like the wheelies but I could live without them if it means I can go faster in a straight line. I went down to the park today and everywhere was soaking wet so I forfitted, did not wanna get my new motor wet. Even though I know it wont really do any damage anyways. Still..
  14. My clips broke on day one, utter rubbish micky mouse little things. I just finished my third shock mod on my Lunchbox. Works very well. Take a peek in the vintage section.
