  1. quote:Originally posted by AZAZALOK, what if you have the mu with the big chrome wheels (lowrider conversion wheels) what are the alternatives for those...? AZ id="quote">id="quote">Put decent springs and tyres on it and have a proper off roader. []
  2. My g/f runs 3 horses. Well they are soooooo much more expensive to run than my 1:1 landrover, 16+ rc cars, 50+ scalextric cars etc.... Boys and their toys, still 12years old at heart. Heres a quote form a Michael Crichteon book. Written about engineers but I think it may apply to TC Engineers “Emotionally, they’re all thirteen years old, stuck at the age just before boys stop playing with toys, because they’ve discovered girls. They’re all still playing with toys. They have poor social skills, dress badly – but they’re extremely intelligent and well trained, and they are very arrogant in their way. Outsiders are definitely not allowed to play.â€
  3. If I thought it would go so cheap I would have bid on it too!! I expected it to reach £150+ A decent looking SS went for £132 last night as well. It was local too, I could have driven round to collect it []
  4. Look here 2nd pic down. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=9706&id=1297
  5. There are some 1/24th Tamiya kits in my showroom. I have a lot of old built Tamiya cars and bikes in storage.
  6. Took it to bits and most if not all of the body could be used on the XC or TA02 chassis http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...d=11421&id=1297
  7. found another one, just got it! http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...d=11421&id=1297
  8. If you can read German (which I can't) try http://www.joro-tuning.de/
  9. The big one was sold for something sensible[] Now why didn't that work? www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp?t=n&id=img1297_13052003092358_2.jpg
  10. I have high res scans from the catalogues of models 1-21 including full model specs. I can email them to whoever wants them, but be warned they are about 1.5-1.6Mb each!
  11. My SS is just about ready to run. However I cannot get any of the modern motors to fit in because of the lugs that the motor locates to in the gearbox. The Ranger I have will accept anything that fits in the hole. Is there any advantage to keeping the original gearbox and finding a motor that fits. Or should I swap the gearbox for the one in the ranger or grind out the bits in the SS gearbox.?????
  12. If you want to look at the auctions in other countries just guess the local ebay web address e.g. ebay germany is WWW.ebay.de
  13. There's at least one in the trading room now. However, no one seems to put a price on their for sale items[!]
  14. I'm not really collecting, just getting my old stuff up to scratch. A lot of the bits on ebay go for ridiculous amounts. Someone used "Buy it now" to bag a "runner" Sand Rover for £195. It was even disclosed that the chassis was repaired. I can't fully remember but I don't think it came with a box either. The two SS on ebay at the moment don't quite look right to me. Part restored ring alarm bells to me, done the easy bits now want to cash in. There is a trading room on here. You are likely to get a better deal of a collecter/member here than someone making money on ebay. Thats my 2p's worth.
  15. Has anyone got a decent size (600k or bigger) scan of the official picture of the 100 lined up together.
  16. Nice to look at, but better to build and drive!id="blue"> After all these are moving model kits! Sorry but I just don't understand this NiB stuff
  17. Why is he so miserable. He should be happy, He's driving a California Buggy in the sun! Has anyone been able to make him look happy? I think this is a general problem with drivers. Holiday buggy, Ford Ranger and Sand Scorcher drivers look miserable too.
