Hi there!
Another technical problem I hope you guys can help me with!
Basically, I was running my Tamiya Lunchbox the other weekend when i stupidly drove it full speed into a ditch hoping it would come back out...but it didn't. It landed with a great thud and as soon as I got it out, there was this grinding noise coming from the gearbox. It sounded like it was running with an engine, so I carried on driving it, hoping it would sort itself out. No luck, and five minutes later, the car just gave up, with the sound of a free spinning gear coming from it. I got it home and noticed that the pinion gear (stock gold one) had seemed to have a lot of the gold paint worn off (which explains the grinding). There also seemed to be chunks out of the pinion gear's teeth. So what I did was buy a new pinion (identical), but there is still grinding when I run it or I just can't get it to make contact with the gearbox. I really don't know what it is as there seems to be no damage to the the other gears. Any ideas?
By the way, I was using an 18t Ansmann Clash motor with full bb setup.
Thanks very much - A quick reply would be appreciated!
Matt
