  1. Need some $ for racing, so the following are for sale. I'll trade for good fast servos, NEW tamiya sport-tuned motors, or hop-ups for the following chassis:

    DB-01R, TA05 IFS-R, F104 and B44.

    NIB Kits, all MINT

    1. Tamiya Monte Carlo Mini Rally Kit# 58163 - $200

    2. Tamiya F103LM Audi R8R - $180

    3. Tamiya Loctite Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R - (TA02 chassis) - $300

This one has been used. About 4 battery packs total runs. Small chip in the front body, everything else mint. Added foam bumper and sport-tuned motor.

    4. Tamiya Tam-Tech Porsche 935 - $150

This is RTR, Radio, ESC, etc. and including 2 1600 nimh mini packs, each have been charged about 2 times.

I can take pictures if needed. I'm in Toronto, Canada.

  2. Where I am, Tamiya is on the top of the list when buying RCs, be it for racing or just running in the streets. Why?

    1. Parts support - 95% of hobby shops stock Tamiya parts

    2. Borgfeldt (Canada's Tamiya distributor) sponsors the Canadian TCS

We're lucky to have the distributor sponsor the races. They work with tracks and hobby shops to make the races happen. It's a win-win situation.

For non-TCS races: AE, X-Ray, Corally and Kyosho are also popular but you'll still see Tamiyas.

  3. Helping out a buddy sell this beautiful truck. It's in mint condition with only a small mark on the windshield lining. It's only been driven a couple of times indoors. It's ready to rock, complete with servos and 4ch radio. Will listen to offers or price suggestions.

Hint: Buddy is in need of money.

THIS HAS BEEN SOLD. Thank you.

  4. The body set never came with the driver, roof and window netting. The only thing "missing" here is the metal bag, which includes a couple of tapping screws, small clips and the body mount, which are readily available, if one isn't too fussy getting the "original" metal bag that came with the body set.

The box doesn't actually look as bad. But then again, this is not a new old stock set. This was bought in 1987 without the intention of being stored for appreciation. My space is limited too, so unfortunately, some boxes are put under the bed, or under my baby's crib. :o

Hey Paul, $300 was actually more than what I expected, so not a problem. It's open to offers, and even trades. I'd be interested in 1/10 rally and touring car bodies. ahem Loctite R33. :P Will always consider a TA03, but not a stock grey car please. ;)

Also interested in racing stuff. Tamiya Type A tires, NEW black and silver can motors, 10.5 or 13.5 BL motors, and sensored BL ESCs.

I'm in Toronto, Canada by the way.

  5. It's not unusual to receive low offers if you ask for "offers" or don't state a price. It's human nature - we all want to pay as less as possible. Make a counter offer. Isn't that how things work? If you think it's not workable, then ignore it and move on and wait for another. Do something else and give it a few more days. JMHO.
