Took mine out tonight on wet tarmac. This thing has got even faster, as I have noticed the transmission has loosened up considerably (the push along floor test!). Also noticed some increase run time too, up to 6 mins now! The 15T is also seems less of an issue. I am thinking maybe some better tires to aid grip. Still waiting for some proper batts to tun up tho....any day now.

Hi all, I have a MPumpkin and Fire Dragon (Wild Dagger and Thundershot in progress!). Am thinking it would be fun to run in sand like the old vintage adverts!!! Just wondered if it was 'safe'. Anyone done this OK, or will I get sand everywhere and ruin them??? Looking for new terrain to bash on! Cheers 28 YOK

No worries, just ordered 2 lots of 4600s! 21 ea on ebay! See if I can better my 4min run time??? Maybe even the 15T will be OK now?

Yeah it really is crazy, I'm glad you the EZrun had the same effect on your buggy too! I think we are gonna need some large test areas!

the EZrun came today! It was pretty straight forward to fit. I only have the original 15T pinion so when I first tried the power nothing happened. I pushed the car back and forth a bit to loosen the drivetrain, then it was OK (brand new so a bit tight). I went to my fav test area which is a sandy coal bed -a smooth but slightly loose surface....I hit the power and Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! This thing can now shift, we must be talking somewhere around 30mph. Great for doughnuts with all 4 wheels scrabbling for grip! The Fire Dragon really turns well on this surface, a bit like a power boat in its drifting action. Ok so good points are really really fast, I wouldn't want to go any faster. And as a side effect I can now get good air off any jump (although may need to raise the buggy a bit and get some longer shocks)! Bad points, my newest 1400 battery only lasted 4 minutes or so. My other 2 1400s couldn't even make the car move! I am sure this is a combination of 15T, low power batteries and tight drivetrain. I am gonna order some beefier batteries, and when my pinions arrive, I will try the 13T. It's not that the 15T was too much once moving (all 4 wheels constantly spinning!) but starting off was obviously a little tough without much torque. If anyone has added longer shocks to a Dragon chassis please advise! Will keep you updated. 28 YOK

Hi all, I live in Ash nr Sandwich, Kent and wondered if anyone local wants to meet up for bashing anytime. Would also consider Canterbury way or Dover? I am new into this and have a pumpkin with a fire dragon on the way (brushless ). I have started going to Fowl mead, some good jumps there. But it is restricted to electric only. OK thats all. Thanks for the info. Just got me a tamiya 12T and 13T. Looking fwd to some big jumps!!!!!! There is a standard (blue) FDragon on you tube running around a garden -looks pretty fast with a 540. Can't imagine what it is like with the EZRun!

Thanks Skip! How funny, our lives must be running in parallel! Just to give you a headz up, my lady has just got herself pregnant -Don't say I didn't warn you!!!!!! Are the pinions you bought tamiya ones? I understand that a more powerful motor will have less torque and will need lower gearing...but will 13T/14T be low enough considering 15T is standard??? I don't know. but just wondered. Also, I have just picked up a 2nd hand Thunder Dragon from ebay. I'm gonna run it as a basher and get a Thunder shot body for it. Looking fwd to ur findings! 28 YOK

I have bought an EZ run 9T with esc. I have seen 8T pinions for clods on ebay. Is this gonna be too small/big? Thanks 29 YOK

Checked ebay, they seem to be 17T, 13T or 9T. What 'T' should I go for with the EZ run combo? ps looks gr8 value for money!
