Hi all, I have nearly completed the build of my first Fire Dragon -I love it! However, I really want to make it an absolute beast! I have the standard tamiya ESC (101?), which I have been told can handle a ST Tamiya 540. I really would like to go a bit more powerful than the ST, but am aware that I would need to upgrade the ESC too. Would I need lower turns (more torque) to counter the 4WD transmission drag? I am looking to run it off-road on mud, grass and over jumps, with some climbing too. So c'mon guys, what ESC/Motor combo would you recommend for a Fire Breathing Beast? Thanks for the feedback Guys, I must have overlooked the wheel articulation. Smooth areas only then...which explains why it seems gr8 on my carpet. Have yet to test it on rough terrain, if it is lousy I will let you all know. Thanks again, 28 YOK ps. anyone got a spare shock going? PM me!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have got ball bearings on order, so that is done. I would like to upgrade to some better motors. What should I be looking for in terms of turns? I have no idea! Also, does a 550 fit in a 540 space?? Sorry, but, new to this. Thanks PS Amazing looking Trucks! 28 YOK

Hi all, I have found a quick and easy alternative to the 3rd shock mod for Pumpkins and L-Boxes. Wow -nice pics! Looks like a lot of dedication there! What motors should I run? I want it to be fast, but not so fast that it flips itself over on full gas! Any ideas? I expect 2x ST 540s will be a bit lame?

Hi all. I was just wondering what the best truck for off roading is? I love my pumpkin, but on really steep hills, it runs out of traction. Are twin engined trucks a good bet? I have just ordered a fire dragon, so I have the 4wd buggy thing covered...so just need a 4wd truck now! Thanks 28 YOK

Hi Guys, On my 2nd model now, 1st was a pumpkin, now a Fire Dragon. I have been having trouble masking the window -have been using sellotape- as it curves into a point at either end. My poor masking meant I decided to use acetone on the screen to remove some of the paint that had not been masked properly....Unfortunately, the acetone has made the screen go cloudy and crack!!!!!! So I have one painted body -with a badly outlined cloudy windscreen! Is there an easier way???? I have just bought another body off ebay for round 2. Thanks 28YOK

Hi Mike, I have now got hold of one. Thanks tho. Do you have a Fire dragon body? Just bodged the painting on mine, so decided to remove the paint with acetone....then the acetone ate the windscreen! ******. Paul

All Kent peeps, Thanks for a fun time! Sport tuned is now fitted to the pumpkin and CVAs on order (Thanks Jozzer), although I would appreciate a link to some flexible body mounts, after my little accident! I was amazed to see all the cars on display, and some real beasts -Belly! Was pleased with how my pumpkin climbed (in spite of standard motor and 2WD), but was disappointed that it couldn't jump -not enough speed! To rectify this I have just ordered a Fire Dragon for the next meet! Maybe Belly could advise on a crazy motor for it??????LOL! Thanks again 28 YOK.

Hi all, just got back from my 1st Kent Bash! It was good fun, thanks to Belly, Sally, Graham, John & Ian for making me feel so welcome. Unfortunately, I managed to snap the front and rear body mounts off my Pumpkin after a kamikaze roll down a bank! Can anyone send me a link to some flexible replacements??? Cool, I have looked at the How To section and want to give the angled suspension mod a go 1st. What shock should I get and where is the best supplier? How do I get the extra metal bars (with the balls on) to extend the rear suspension outwards?? Sorry for vague description, I am new! Thanks in advance. It will turn! Eventually.
