  1. My neighbour is building a Durga for his son. Worryingly he says that he "can't wait for his car to be ready"....Not sure the son will get a look in. LOL!

As we want to be able to run together on an equal footing, I am taking the EZ run out of the fire dragon and replacing it with a standard silver can. Although the brushless FD has great novelty appeal, I dont have the skills required to control in properly. It's all I can do to keep it in a straight line! I have found the handling at full throttle quite 'edgy' with oversteer always looming. I am hoping that life with the silver can will help me learn the handling and really get to drive it hard rather than the odd burst of power and multiple steering corrections!

Will keep you informed. We are looking to run on a gravel car park and make a track with mini cones.

  2. ...and get another kit :D Want something very fast and can handle grass any ideas anyone ?

You could just buy a sport tuned motor for the LB. Although may not be "Very Fast" but def faster! I have a Wild Dagger with twin 550 motors and 14.4v, it is crazy, like something off a trevor Macdonald documentry about Young drunk Hoodies! Although they dont make it anymore, the chassis is the same as the Blackfoot Xtreme, so maybe you could get one and add an extra motor if you want to build, or just pick one up off ebay as they come up from time to time, and start pimping it! Two motors and 4WD have no problems with grass. Mine has locked diffs to so a bit of a mountain goat!

Let us know what you decide on...hopefully not a flashy mobile phone!

  3. Hi all, unfortunately my wife didn't share in my delight at winning a Stadium Blitzer on ebay...far from it in fact LOL!

So in an attempt to appease my...erm... darling love, I am selling my MP. The one that started it all off for me...:)

comes with ALL kit to run except RX

1st baby on the way, so maybe when they are older I can buy another one!

  4. Took my 14.4v Wild Dagger on her 1st proper run! WOW! Super glued tyres and locked diffs mean lots of dust flying and 4 wheel drifting! It was great...almost anti-social in the park, attracted lots of attention. Probably my biggest RC rush to date. Climbing was amazing like two scrambler bikes strapped side by side, just aim it and nail the power! Unfortunately, I have got home and realised that the chassis is crumbling away

    Need an alu one now!

  5. I'd write to the seller explaining that the description given does not add up to the product received. I would then let him know that you would like to return the car to the seller for a full refund (less carriage). If you get no response, then make a claim via paypal. I have made claims via paypal for things not turning up. Even if the seller does not respond to paypal, they may still find in your favour and refund you the money. I know this is a grey area as to whether the ad was misleading, but if you feel like you have been done then you should try and put things straight, or at least raise a bit of badword as a warning to sellers like this.

    Best of Luck!

  6. Hi all,

I have a few NIB items. All with ESC except the Dark Imapct. I am looking for a Stadium Blitzer preferably in good condition. Not sure what a good one is worth, so some guidance would be useful if anyone has an idea...? Rather than spend more £££ I would rather trade a kit. So if you have a SB gathering dust and fancy building one of these, please pm me! I must say the Impreza looks pretty sexy with the LED kit included, would look really nice :)

Would also consider buying a resto SB.

    Cheers 28

  7. Had a total mare last night (!) decided to superglue the sunroof on and managed to get superglue on the sunroof, the roof and attach my thumb to the sunroof...! LOL! I was not a happy bunny as the superglue didn't do much for the paint finish, and having a thumb attached was not workable longterm. Ended up masking the offending section and repraying it. The result was a raised red section on the roof...

So I ended up sanding the edges of the new section and masking all the beetle stickers and respraying the whole roof section. Luckily, this blended the new bit perfectly. A few coats of lacquer later and the beetle is back to how it was before I started meddling!!

Albeit a bit shinier now! So alls well in the end. :D ...PHEW...!
