  1. WW-nut - Thanks for the link. Loaded - Cheers for that, i thought the bodyshell might be a pain. Rads stuff is great, i did all his studio photos for him. I see him everyday, so im sure he will give me some help Zakspeed - WOW! great conversion, making mine look pretty lame now. Cheers for all the advice. Dean:)
  2. A few of you might remember my post in another thread regarding my Holiday Buggy purchase..... Here are the first few small thing ive done so far. Chassis stripped down, then rebuilt after clean up. Ballraced wheels, although i still have to clean the rims up a little. Sport tuned motor fitted. Mtronics Viper waterproof ESC fitted. New front servo fitted. And, new receiver fitted. The chaasis, im now happy with. I stripped all the decals from the body, The 2 jerry cans are ready for repaint, as are the lights. The windscreen posts that go from the roof to the bonnet, have snapped away from the body part, so a new aluminuim roll cage one is currently being made. The rest of the body is being cleaned up for respray. Im going to keep it boxart colours, as i like the retro scheme, but i will be spraying the yellow and blue stripes on instead of decals. All the logos will be replaced with new ones. Here are the questions...... 1. One of the gears have a few teeth stripped from it so will need replacing, Does anyone make alloy gears for it? 2. Should i convert the front 2 KC Daylighters to working LED lights? I like the idea. 3. Where can i source a decal sheet from? Thanks in advance for any help on this, or any tips. Dean
  3. Thanks for the replies. The only pictures i have at the moment are the ones from the seller. This is it Should get it on Monday/Tuesday, Then i will take some more pictures of it. Dean
  4. Hey Guys, Just thought id share. I bought a Vintage Holiday Buggy today, looks to be in fairly good condition, needs a little bit of tlc but should be cool. Its box art colours. Im a bit stoked, as its my first vintage purchase. Dean
  5. Laminated, cut out, shaped and sanded the rear wing for my project "FUN BUG". Now scribbling down parts list for exaust and front/rear bumpers from DIY store. Happy days. What did you do today................... Dean
  6. Pretty much got it spot on there mate. This was the idea i had from the begining, wasnt sure how it would look. I have a shell coming tomorow, not a kamtec one, but its white and has the arches cut and a little bit of modification already. The Baja champ, i think im gonna keep it original. Ill source a shell and wing and lob a esc into it, have just put a sports tuned motor in. When its done ill put some photos up. Thanks for the reply. Dean
  7. Thanks for taking the time to reply. They are both good looking cars you have there, i am going to have a little think and see what i can come up with. Dean
  8. Hey Guys, New guy here, great forum!!! I picked up a couple of cheap cars to tinker around with until the Sand Scorchers re-release. They are, Hornet and a Baja Champ. Both old ones with wiper style SC's. I quite fancy doing up the pair. What shell would look good on each, exept the originals. Just a bit of fun really, any suggestions would be great (except throw them in the bin ones!) thanks Dean
