  1. I've spent just under AUS$3k and not had a problem with Vista it self, just problems with Leader Computers putting in incorrect hardware, or hardware that has died that they say is completely fine I will admit to liking Vista, but not for its snazzy effects, but for it how it does certain things. I do a fair amount of gaming, and art stuff. I've had Mudbox 2009 with 4.8million faces shown in real time with out any memory problems from both Vista 32bit and Mudbox and Mudbox uses mainly memory for its calculations. I am not trying to say that Vista is 100% better then XP, and I'm willing to admit the both OS have their pros and cons. I'm just saying I prefer Vista and I haven't had actual problems with the OS it self. But I usually give Vista a minute or two to boot up as I've got a number non-vista stuff load up on startup.
  2. That ain't true, I have had ordered the 58 55 spur set for my tt01 over a month later I still don't have thanks to Tamiya not supplying the distrubiter. Now I've got little need for them as I'm using a TC4 instead of the dodgy tt01. I've destroyed 3 spurs due to the tt01's poor ability for proper adjustment, I can barely give my tt01 away let alone sell it But to check to see if theres damage to the spur, take the motor out. Look closely at the spur and spin it looking for any wear spots in the teeth. The noise can be the spur stripping, so look for teeth that are smaller then others.
  3. If you open the motor, you should find a tag inside with how many turns it is. I think it will also say what brand it is. I know with one of my stock motors it was a tag with EPIC27 inside it.
  4. As long as the pitch of the teeth of both parts are the same, you should be fine. Thats if they fit, you will certainly find out if you start destroying the teeth.
  5. Got an imperial allen key for really small screws for my TC4 Orded some parts for my TC4, as I can't connect the steering to the servo due to lacking one part. Got two dud nimh packs pulled apart to make one good pack. Learn't some stuff about my new (yet, second hand) Team Asscioted Factory Team TC4 Cleaned up my desk so I can display both my TT01 and TC4 Put cloth tape over the cracks in my Ford GT body to stiffen it back up. So, What have you done today?
  6. My Rig MSI Platimum mother board Dual MSI 8800GT's 4gb ram 1.2 TB of HD space Coolermaster case Vista 32bit Up until changing my main board (previous one became faultly) I haven't had any problems with software, since changing the main board I can't play opengl games. I do not see why people hate Vista so much, it seems perfectly fine to me and I'm yet to come accross a program that won't work because of Vista
  7. I know that this car is now sold, but I'm kinda thinking of turning my TT01 into a rally car. Your pictures give alot of info, but I would like to know what length shocks you used on it.
  8. Thank fully the Christmas stuff at work hasn't started... yet. Every Christmas time at work, some sort of Frank Sinatra best of Christmas style album is played, I really, really hate songs about a 'White' Christmas when its 40+C outside while working in a shop with out air con (well Im pretty sure it doesn't have air con). Just seems wrong to me. Come January and February is when all of the American Christmas episodes of TV shows seem to air in Australia.
  9. Got yet another tt01 gear bag just for the spur. Got two sets of brushes for my Peak Racing Hellfire RS24 and fitted one of them to the motor.
  10. I will admit that the sound of nitro and they do look fun, but for me at my point in my life its just too much of a hassle. I prefer being able to plug everything in flick a switch and go, I don't mind the little bit of work to keep it going. I've got a 1:1 car to keep on the road which I crashed last week (I hit a really slippery patch of road) thankfully I only damaged my fuel tank and some paint. But being an art student that drives I simply can't afford $15 for a litre of nitro fuel, $36 for a 3000mah battery that I can use until it dies (or explodes) is much more viable for me.
  11. My brother has a TF collection some of the TF's were mine I did manage to get a complete G1 Soundwave with all cassettes (minus Lazerbeak) for $2 I've got a small matchbox car collection, unless a new variant was re-leased in the last few years I have every single variant of the Matchbox Lamborghini Countach.
  12. The TT-01 is my first hobby grade RC, I do like it minus the fact that the plastic for the screws likes to strip. I've spent $30 on hopping it up which was bearings, alloy shaft, and heat sink which has improved it alot. Since getting a 27t blueprinted stock race motor for it and a LRP speedy I'm able to drift it on asphalt with ease, but that being said I've won a race meet with it back when it was standard. I agree 100% that a cars performance is 90% the driver 10% other. However I wouldn't spend alot of money on one for that sake of making it look pretty, I would only consider getting alloy stuff only if I broke something and I need to replace it. I'm not going to spend lots of $$ on my TT-01 as I'd rather spend that money on a far superior car that is fully adjustable... but thats just me.
  13. I've got a plastic bag with 8 sets of second hand wheels with one spare wheel. A container with a speedy and reciever. The tt01 box with for equipment transport, the box for my LRP speedy to store its manual, cable ties, and a metre of black and red wire. A container with a spare motor and a 1900mah battery. Everything usually sits on my desk. My bodies sit live on a fold out metal table.
  14. That would be quite fun, I bet it leaves all of the rice boys in the dust and the chevydores (Commodores with chev badges) as well. My dad's '79 Transit has left a number of people behind, it can cruise at 155kph while towing a caravan (gotta like the NT old speed limit of none).
  15. This is the only body I have bought that didn't come with a car, HPI Ford GT. This is my racing body.
