  1. Hi Mark how's things with you hope all is well? Hey nice Thundershot like the paint work you've done a great job with it. Also inregards to the Thundershot in general, it is a underated buggy. I own one myself and it has won many races, especially when my dad bought it back in 1988 for me. Once i had built it all of my mates wanted to race my new unknown buggy,i was a young kind then and all of my mates where much older than me by at least 7 to 8yrs,and when it came time to race them i wasn't sure what will happen on the day and by surprise i Won all the races on that day. I was up against 6 Fox's,2 HotShots , 1 Boomarang my Bro and 2 Frogs and 1 Hornet and a BlackFoot and there where a few other Rc cars which i can not remeber on what they where. My mate who owned the BlackFoot went and bought the Thundershot the very next week because he was just blown away by on how fast it really was. All of the other guys couldn't stop talking about it for weeks and months that past and i had the biggest smile on my face each time i saw one of the boy's. But after those races,i had damaged my buggy and i didnt use it for more than 14 to 15 yrs couldn't afford to fix it and i had just left it for to long. But apart from that, you've done a great job with your Thundershot and i wish mine look as good as yours, hope to catch some time soon if you come down this year..Seea!!
  2. Hi Mark, thx for getting back to me about the Rear Controller Arms. Now that i know that you still have some arms left would you be able to put aside the set of 4 for $100 for me and also my bro. At the moment im not working due to an injury( Left knee) i mite need an opo on it soon, if it wasn't for the injury i would have bought the arms of you now but i need to wait..Ive spoken to my bro 2day inregards to the arms and he would like the set of 4 as well, so a set for me and him thats a total of $200 once i have the money ill inform you ASAP. Cheers Vince!! Hi Mark, thx for informing Mark / ap6318 about the arms for me much appreciated. Chat soon.. Vince
  3. Hi guys, been a while since i was last on here. ap6318, ive noticed that you've manufactured Fox Rear Controller Arms and i was hoping that you will still have a few left to sell as my rear controller arms are old and they wont last that long. If you still do have a few left i would like to purchase some. You've done an excellent job on re making those rear arms and they look geat as well. To me, they do not need to look original but as long as they are strong and reliable im in for some arms.. Also, i have a Tamiya Thundershot that require's Front and Rear Controller Arms as well which they also have the same problem with the arms as the Fox. Please let me know of the availability of the Fox arms, and what can you do for my Thundershot Arms as well. Hope tht im not asking for to much, Cheers..Vince! Also, Hi MAD RACER..Mark, hows the Fox going with the new arms, ive read that you've got some arms from ap6318? When your in Syd luv to catch up and get our Fox's out, mine's semi retired at the moment and collecting dust, its time to re awaken the BEAST!!!
  4. Hi guys, Happy New Yr and all the best for 2011:) Would anyone know if the re release Avante will be coming Down Under ( Australia) ?luv to know because i mite purchase one if its based on the original version but with stronger parts added to it. Also the Price, like to know the price range that will be interesting? Back in 1988 when my dad bought me my ThunderShot, the price of the Thundershot was $ 325 ( Still have the price on the box) and it included a Dash Control as a special deal, and the Avante was next to the Thundershot on the shelve and it went for around about $680 and also had a Dash control with it as well. That Rc Car was way over Priced and poorly manufactured by Tamyia and i hope that they get it right this time round. Hope that in does come downunder. MR HOBBIE 76..
  5. Hi MAD RACER, thx for the assisstence. Just letting you know that ive became a member with RC TECH Castle Hill Off RD Club. Cheers!! Also, u mention tht ur from Qld, u must be really keen and into ur Hobbies if u travel all tht distance 1200K/m to Castle Hill. Its good to see tht their are people still out there tht are still into their Hobbies like urself. Most of my mates have lost interset because they can not find parts for their R/c Cars. I was in the same situation as them, i didnt use my thundershot for 15+yrs until 5yrs ago when i found some parts on eBay. I personaly think tht thts a big problem with Tamiya, once they discontinue a product they also discontinue parts supplies for tht product as well. Which they should at least continue with parts so it saves us the hassle in searching for them in the long run. Even if u do find parts, they cost an arm and a leg to buy. Im off chat soon..
  6. Hi mate, this is my first time on this site, and i went into vintage discussions and found your comment about your Tamiya Fox. Awesome picture of the Fox there just a great Rc Car, i also own one myself. Ive noticed when i read your comment about that you race it a vintage event and that it was held at Castle Hill, im from Sydney Australia as well and i would like to attend the next Vintage event so i can bring along my Tamiya Fox & Thundershot. Would you be able to inform me on when the next Vintage event will be on so i race my cars there. Also, do i need to become a member with the Vintage event if so please let me know and ill inform my brother & friends about the Vintage event and we all can become members.
