  1. I forgot how narrow the front of the f1 bodies are. A normal f1 body for it would be nice also but oh well. Any good recommendations on a tamiya or other brushless system that fits? I don't plan on racing it completely just parking lot fun so no turn limit. Also what is a good low profile servo and metal arm to use now a days? Sorry for the rookie questions its been about 5 years since I last messed with rc and things seem to have changed a lot.
  2. Long story short I have been out of the rc game for a while and sold all my stuff. I am getting back into it with this car. I can see the aftermarket coming up with lots of hop-ups for this one like they did for the old f201. Wtcc05 nice build so far. And the body took me about 3 hours to cut out alone way to complicated they need it to be pre cut. I have a question has anyone tried to fit any of the f1 body's from the f103 chassis yet? And or maybe the wheel and tires from them or the f201? I am excited to see what chassis design you come up with.
  3. Did you ever get any chassis plates made? I would like to do this also. I would also like to put the lunch box body on a car chassis some day. Your idea of making a new center section for that chassis is a good idea. Any chance you would send me the cad files and I could get a set cut out myself since it looks like you are not in the same country as me? Also a good cad program is autocad and you can sign up for a student account and get just about any of there full versions free for 3 years.
  4. I have a friend of mine selling my Ford Aeromax all rtr with light kit, novak rooster, and m8 remote Thanks Andy http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5940297563&rd=1
  5. I have a friend of mine selling my Hummer with color changing paint from purple to gren and it is wider than mose due to putting on different suspension from the dana storm. I am also including original tires and suspension. here is the link Thanks Andy http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5940294827&rd=1
  6. I have the gas one I was wanting to sell I bought it off e-bay last fall or early this year and drove it in the snow it was fun but slow. I am the second owner and it is in very good shape. The body is cut out and installed but not painted and still has the plastic wrap on the out side to protect from over spray. I you are interested I can send you some pictures it will come ready to run and a extra chassie plate the main alum. piece and a exrta transmision. (I was planning on putting a bigger motor in it thats what the extra parts are for) I had some trouble with the pull starter not want to grab all the time but it still works. Let me know I can send pics Andy red124@comcast.net
  7. I really don't want a nitro quake I was planning on getting a XTM Mammoth
  8. What no takers? I really want to get ride of these. I am wanting to get into 1/8 scale gas trucks. These models were fun to put together but I really don't have any place to drive them. I have a dirt driveway and lots of grass. All these models have very little use. I really want something I can launch off a skateboard or bmx ramp and dirt track and not have to worry about it. Plus I dount want to worry about destroying these nice hard bodies. Make a offer any reasonable offer will be considered. Thanks Andy red124@comcast.net
  9. I have a few tamiya vehical I am looking to get ride of. All are in great shape. 1. Tamiya Rover Mini Cooper bought last fall (cost $95.00) built it and drove it only about 5 times. It comes with futaba 2PHKA remote (cost $48.00) and a novak rooster esc with reverse (cost $70.00). Body is painted just like on original box that is also included. Also no hop-up's have been installed it is all original. Add batteries and you are ready to go. I would like $150.00 or best offer 2. Tamiya Hummer M1025 (cost $140.00) built it last spring had some fun with it but afraid to beat on it due to not wanting to distroy the hard body. You can look at club tamiya it is posted their and is the one with the color changing paint and wider stance than the other. It will come with futaba 2PHKA remote (cost $48.00) and a DuraTrax Blast esc with reverse (cost $40.00). I will also include all the original suspension parts I took off to make it wider. The only thing wrong with it is a couple scratches on the corners of the body and the crome on the hpi wheel's seams to be flaking off. I would like $180.00 or best offer. 3. Ford Aeromax Semi Truck (cost $380.00) built it last summer put in the light kit (cost $120.00) and a novak rooster esc with reverse (cost $70.00). This one does not come with the remote I will include the locks for the transmision so you dont have to use a servo for shifting or holding it in gear. It is painted a nice burgandy metalic red and is in perfect shape. Included will be a couple of extra body parts I never put on. All you would need to do is buy a 2 or 3 channel remote an a battery. I would like $500.00 or best offer I can e-mail pics Thanks Andy red124@comcast.net (also might be willing to trade for a 1/8 scale nitro truck)
  10. I think ertl sells a 1:18 diecast model that you build your self for around $40.00. To bad it is 1:18 scale but it might fit my mini cooper I wish their were more spec's in the model kit. Or I should just go buy on it's only $40.00
  11. I really did not think this topic would take off this well. I asked tamiya if they would ever think of doing this and the person responding said "Unfortunately, I myself have never seen an vintage American car model by Tamiya, but your suggestion will be given." I hope they think about it.
  12. Has anyone ever seen a r/c version of this car? It would be nice to see tamiya design one of these with a custom hard body, decals, push bumper, and even attenna. I really think sales would be good. Eveyone seams to like the show young and old. Some kind of a buggie chassie would be good to use so we all could jump it like in the t.v. show. What do you people think?

  14. It still has the stock motor and is pritty fast. I had to trim the bottom part of the body to fit the big tires and I really don't see getting any bigget one's because they will hit the body the suspension works. The size I have seem to be just right and man does it jump good and even though it is 4wd it can still do donuts on the smooth garage floor with just a sittle dirt. If you are going to paint something with that paint it is a 3-step process and you must use the primer and the more coats of the color changing paint you use the more it will change colors. And you even get clear coat with everything to.
  15. I recently got done building a amc hummer and used color changing paint on it I also drove it one and did not like the narrow wheel base so I upgraded it with one of the 4-wheel drive cars the blazing star and used some extra shocks from the sledgehammer truck I have who need 4-shockks per wheel anyway. I think this the link to the pic's excuse me if I am wrong I am new here. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...d=10322&id=1377 I will have more pic's later of the sledge hammer, ford semi truck, mad cap, and hopefully my brothers T190 bobcat and maybe his moutaineer if I buy it from him
