  1. What is the length of the Sand Scorcher front body mounting post? I have a chassis that I thought was the F150 SRB, with a 3 inch front mounting post, but I want to use it for a Sand Scorcher body. Thanks, Jim
  2. Yeah, that's it! Amazing! That was fast. The picture of it I have is an indoor closeup of it however, but it's the same one. Thank you, Jim
  3. Well, it is a Parma lexan Beetle Body with the wing. Blue/White SS paint scheme. License plate says "STOLEN". The differentiating details are that it has "PENNZOIL" decals on the top and side of the wing, white "Blitzer" wheels. The chassis I thought was a Blitzer Beetle, but it has white wheels, like the Stadium Blitzer, but I still can't find it in the member rides section under either of those nor the scorcher. I could email the photo, it's very clear. I'm dying to find out where I found this as I previously thought I didn't like the wing, but after finding this, it looks real nice. Thanks, Jim
  4. I'm trying to post the image. It shows up on the "Preview" but not when I Post it.?
  5. I found this photo on my hard drive from a year ago, it's from a tamiyclub member but I can't find it anywhere on the site. Anyone know whose this is? I'm duplicating it and was wondering if the member has more photos of it, and or details on how it was painted. Thanks, Jim
  6. Thanks guys. It looks like my next Tamiya car will be either a Wild Dagger or I might try a Blitzer Beetle. And I'm definitely getting the Pro-Line Sand Paw tires for my next car. Jim

  8. I just tried 2 of my vintage Tamiya cars on soft beach sand near my house and they didn't work as well as I thought. First, my Bruiser in 4wd went okay, but it seemed to barely have enough power to move it (using a 6volt 4500mah battery from Radio Shack). Then I used a standard 7.2v 1500mah pack which gave slightly more oomph, but not much. I thought the Bruiser would have more torque than it does. Then I tried my Rough Rider with a fresh battery pack and it just dug down into the sand and would just spin the tires. It wouldn't move at all in the soft stuff. What cars are good for the soft sand? How about the new Blitzer Beetle? Or does soft sand need 4wd? Any ideas? Thanks, Jim
