  1. The website where I bought it? I got it off Ebay, the seller is leg_tin
  2. So I bought a M05 Mini Cooper 1994 Rally kit to build as a shelfie. When I got it I remembered my one beaf with Tamiya kits- you have to cut out the stickers. Don't get me wrong, I love to cut bodies, paint, and apply decals, however I forget that Tamiya's insane attention to detail means a lot of tiny stickers, espesialy the window trim. This time around I thought I would just bite the bullet and order an XB body form Hong Kong. I ordered this little beauty and it took only 5 days to get to Utah, USA The best thing is after I sold my un finished body, this one only cost me $10 The way they apply the stickers is amaizing, I almost thought that they were painted-on details. I winder if they use a heat gun or something to get these compound curves and angles. The fender-flares and black line down the side are flawless. If I can sell the kit body and turn around to buy an XB body for just a little more I may stay in this direction for a while To bad selection is very limited. Optimus Prime approves! (yes, I am a big nerd) If the ABS bodies are as good I may pick up a Sand Scorcher and Pajero bodies just for the heck of.
  3. Yeeeeeeessssssssss! Only 5 days form Hong Kong to Utah, and it was un-damaged. With luck like that I wonder why I didn't win the Megamillions Lottery Body is from a XB M05 Mini cooper 1994 Monte Carlo
  4. Oh frabjous day! My first M chassis, and no, the Mamba combo isn't for either.
  5. Mr JAnderson: Is the front trac the same as the rear? I have never actuallly seen an OG Bruiser in the flesh, but form the pics on the interwebs it looks like the OG Bruiser has a narower axle up fornt compared to the rear.
  6. I believe you can also spay the outside of the shell with polycarb paint then spray over that with a satin or flat olive drab. Sometimes I mask the windows on both sides, spray the inside metalic silver backed by black. I'll then spray the outside with metalic silver then i'll use a Tamiya PS spray over that. When you start to get scratches on the shell it looks great because they are silver underneath.
  7. My 6 year old daughter watched that video with me. She couldn't understand why I was so excited. All she said was: "That man's head is shiney." Gosh darn it. I had resolved to not buy one because of the price, but after watching the vid my mind has changed.
  8. I just stumbled upon this, sorry if it's old news. Rcchannel scale 3-speed trans
  9. It's a TRF 1/14 Ford Areomax semi, race spec. w/ optional carbonfiber box trailer.
  10. Didn't necessarily come today...and not tamiya's. I'll be building the SC10 while I recover form an up-coming surgery and the SCX10 is going to wait until i get every available Axial option part...that may take some time I've got a CC SV2 5700kv for SC10, can't wait.
  11. Towerhobbies finally has it listed at $1126.99. It's good to know Tower is going to carry it. I know they will change (to/from?) map pricing eventually. Tower usually runs some good coupons and free shipping deals every once in a while.
  12. Honestly, I am very glad they are re-releasing the Bruiser, but, I think i'll end up going with the TF2 and making a scale Bruiser tribute so I can satisfy both my wants. I guess I could call it the Trail-Bruiser or Bruiser-Frinder
  13. I hope there is good presentation as well. Like the re-re XR311 or tank kits as you said. But then again, I like how the High Lift Hilux is packaged. It's all nice and organized, but it screams "Build me now or you'll regret it!"...at least mine did.
  14. That is a good point, however, this epic re-re is going to be scrutinized form every angle until every level of minusha has been detailed, elxplained, and complained about (even things in the peripheral ie: unusuall prices). Just wait till it actually comes out and the whaling and gnashing of teeth that will start over the non-blister style packaging. Furthermore, i'm already seeing a little animosity between Tamiya purists and scale purists (re-re Bruiser vs. Trailfinder 2). People get very nitpicky over these kinda things, as we all know.
  15. Some one is now selling these as pre-orders on ebay for $580 shipped. I don't know if it's a scam or not, but it seems a little fishy. I did not include a link. (Is that against the forum rules?)
  16. Doooood thats awesome! If I had the means i'd turn my 1:1 into a bruiser tribute.
  17. So...the real question is: Who is going to step up and create a 1:1 Bruiser like the 1:1 Scorcher?
  18. After looking at the photos and video, it looks like Tamiya left the front axle narrower than the rear like the original. I was hoping they would have made the tront and rear track the same. ;)
  19. PLease don't let the MSRP be $1299.99! That's more than I paid for my actual 1983 Toyota Pickup.
  20. One way to take the sting out is to consider it a piece of "functional art". On a positive note, if this is indeed the actual price, this should keep the owerners of OG Bruisers happy as it wont bring down vintage prices much.
  21. Ouch, that really hurt my wallet. I really hope the price is a place holder, otherwise i'll be seriously considering the TrailFinder 2 as an alternative.
  22. SO with all the changes will this be more of a tribute rather than a re-release?
