  1. I have a regular Top Force with quite a few Evolution bits on it that I've just finished restoring if that's any use to you? Has hi-cap dampers and comes with a brand new decal sheet, just needs a new set of wheels to make it mint again
  2. Hi all, I need some advice I bought a Celica LB Turbo body at a local sale probably 15 years ago. Over the next few years I scavenged all the bits to turn it into a full car. I've no idea what most of the bits were off originally but from what I can tell they are mostly correct for the original. That was as far as it went and I've not touched it since 2007. Currently it's a fully assembled rolling chassis but the body hasn't been painted. As it was a build from a pile of bits is it actually worth anything? I don't have any of the other "nice to have" bits like the box or manual I bought it as a bit of a fun project, but since then I've managed to build (and sell on) a NIB Renault 5 Turbo and I'm nearly finished building a Countach from a very similar looking pile of random bits - so I don't really need to keep the Celica Basically I want to know if it's worth selling or if I should hang onto it. Would there be much interest in it if I did? Thanks in advance
  3. I've just finished restoring my old Top Force too. It's taken me 10 years to get all the bits but it's worth it! As for running it there was a company doing a reproduction under tray for them, that would be worth looking into for sure
  4. Hi everyone Finally got round to re-joining after taking a bit of time out. Apparently I was last here in 2011... that was the same year I decided I didn't have the budget or patience to continue touring car racing. I've been ticking over with various 1/14th and crawler projects in between though. Roll forward a few years and I got back into racing after finding out a venue very local to me was racing 1/12th scale Supastox. I gave it a go and was hooked. Since entering a few rounds of the Scottish Open I've also discovered a love for the support classes F1 and Mini racing. I've had a Footwork F102 for as long as I can remember but rarely used it other than a bit of a mess about at my old racing clubs between races. I fired the modern electrics out of the Supastox into it for the Ayr round of the championship and lost out on the overall win by a car length... not bad considering the diffs haven't been touched for over 10 years and it was otherwise standard I still dabble in touring from time to time, now on a TRF416MS. Still trying to get my head around brushless and lipo - but it goes like a missile! I've updated a few things in my showroom, added a pile of new stuff and put a few things up for sale, so feel free to check them out Ross
  5. A landy would be great! I'd like to see more European tractor units and some new trailers. Like the new Volvo's and Scanias that you see on the roads every day. New trailers like 3 axle Euro trailers, a curtain-side, perhaps even a tipper, cement mixer, low-loader.... and if they are feeling really brave a mobile crane! haha
  6. either will do buddy. The TA01 & 2 are almost exactly the same drivetrain wise, but the chassis of the TA01 is slightly longer.
  7. Just set these up today as there are my main interests on here. Banners are a bit on the lame side but i'm stuck offshore at the moment so only have paint to play with! Feel free to join up and stick your pics on. Maybe someone could even make the banners a bit more proffessional lol
  8. Great idea Chris! Looks like a superb new feature. Only thing I've noticed is that you can't get to it from the front page anymore... will it be included into one of the top menus at some point?
  9. I'm kinda stuck up here on my own on the trucking front I think. Anyone else from Scotland got one?
  10. Sorry I don't come on the forum much so missed most of this. [] Chris is dead right, and I too love the comps. I think it gives the website interesting and gives the members something extra. For me it was great fun trying to think of cool locations to shoot my pics, and since I don't have a car they were all done fairly local. [8D] Good luck to everyone that has entered []
  11. Think yourselves very lucky. I sent Keith 2 shells and stickers (a PIAA porsche and Mini Cooper) to copy...in NOVEMBER 2004 and I've heard very little back from him about them. As far as I am awair he has been really busy at work and has had to put the bodys on the sidelines for a while. But if he is still selling new items on Ebay recently then that's really not on. I have been waiting near 10 months to get my shells back that I was good enough to loan him in the first place. Ok I know that might sound harsh but come on that is taking the micky ever so slightly. I dunno how many emails I've sent and messages I've left on his phone(s) with no reply. I made contact about two months ago and was promised they would be shipped by the end of the week, then I phoned him last month.... again the would be shipped by that weekend without fail. Nuthin. I even emailed his girlfriend to find out what was going on and she said she would post them out - that was three weeks ago now. [xx(] This is made even more of a shame because he did produce 6 excellent mini cooper s shells for me very quickly from the moulded mini I sent him. The results were awsome and Keith was a great guy to deal with during that project... then he decided he would vanish for a while. So what do I do now? I have a Porsche 911 GT1 that took me months to track down NIB that I can't finish and a friend who has paid me for a mini shell that I can't give him back. To say I'm P**sed off is an understatement. Any update on what is going on with that Dazmeister?
  12. Well guys mine arrived this morning in F430 form. Very very nice looking bit of kit :-)
  13. I've generally found all the far east suppliers are good ie stellamodels, walawala, hongkong-cowboy and rainbowten to name but a few. All have super quick delivery, well packaged and so far (touch wood[]) have never been hit by the dreaded uK import tax[]
  14. Yeah that's the new experimental 416 that's not due out for at least several months. One of my team mates knows a guy who is involved in testing it. Looks like it could be even better than the 415! [8D]
