  1. I forgot who made those.. That is a hop up back in the day maybe a home made one. I have one of those too in my blackfoot too. Very simple but durable..
  2. That's a nice buy for $50 an awesome deal Erich.. This will keep you pretty busy... That's nice a lot of people helped you on your project.. I don't think i have anything much for an Avante except for tires.. Srb stuff i might can help.. I found one for the same amount quite a while back for $50 too. I bought it without really knowing anything about it..
  3. Color combination iss great! Have to build one of those sometime..
  4. Got some spare wr02 chassis for a painting project...
  5. Looks great! Where did you buy the camper/cover?
  6. That's a lot of hop ups would be nice too see it for sure. :-) You can get a photobucket account to link/upload photos.
  7. Hmm.. Haven't run the City turbo yet at the moment. Maybe slight slight bumpy roads like asphalt would be okay. Rocky areas won't be that great for it i would think.. Some of the members should know better about it.. Thanks! From what i could tell there is only a few differences on the two.. You will need wheel adaptors for the wheel & advan tires, different front spindles (longer), body mounts and few more little stuff... You could easily turn a WW2 to a City turbo..
  8. Hopefully this will make you want it more......
  9. I'll try cutting the Turbo script see how it goes... Hopefully i don't get too shaky.. A few more pics of the painted body. Its not perfect by any means.. Thanks! LEE1980, Nitomor, Mongoose & Grastens.. Closer pic
  10. Yeah! Can't handle the speed it flipped over already ;-) :-) Deciding if i should do decals or not.? Hmmmm.....
  11. That's great Iwata brand airbrushes are pretty well made. I have an old binks i use for my models before. Would like to try automotive paint sometime too..
  12. Your most welcome! Paint was already dry when i took the picture. 5 mins in between coats will be sufficient. On the last few final coats closer to 10 minutes would be better. I used Tamiya rattle can paint for that one it was really old paint i bought from a closing hobby shop.. There were times paint would not come out of the can.. Almost panicked that i would ruin the paint job.. Surprisingly it came out glossy.. I know if you used airbrush most of the times it would be glossy finish.. One more tip when you spray the last few coats spray to the right then spray to the left that is 2 passes. Makes the paint a little thicker & you will see the paint go shiny... Make sure not to paint too close of your going to get paint runs.5-6 inches away would be good..
  13. Yeah they are so fun to look at and cute!! The alloy bits are available since the chassis is shared with a few models Thank you! Didn't do anything special on the body. -sanded most of the mould lines. -make sure to clean the body inside out with soap/detergent & water.. -wipe clean with a new microfiber cloth or equivalent -don't paint in direct sunlight shaded area would be great -put the body on top of an small old box so you can work around the body. Smaller box that fits the inside roof area would be enough. -if painting outside the garden or open area make sure the wind is not blowing.. You don't want all the dust in your paint.. - do a very light coat in the first coating... be patient wait..... -few minutes later do another light coat.. wait again... -paint the corners & hidden areas first with a light coat example: wheel wells, sharp corners, headlights, wait again... - paint in gentle continous strokes like swaying left to right.. wait longer... you will paint this stage thicker.... -2-3 coats with waiting time each coat... -check if you have missed any areas.. -Let the paint dry.. I have 3 coats on the body no clear coat on it. Some would paint clear after to make it more shiny. This will be my runner body right now. I might paint another one a different color hopefully its turns out ok.. Hope this helps..
  14. I was playing with the front tire and noticed the knuckles were really wobbly.. It would go side to side i wondered why it was like that. Found out the bearing were the wrong size when i replaced it with alloy knuckles... I guess that's what you get when you change the knuckles at 4am in the morning.... As you can see on the pic the axle is leaning on one side... Bearing size difference... Test fitted the body again. Painted the body.. Before. After...
  15. Received my load of Advan wheeler/city turbo tires... Lots of spares to finish off...
  16. Willy, they might be i just stole the alloy from my other rc As i remember the fronts were from GPM rear not really sure...

  19. Tempting alloy bits.... Bought it from eb_y wr02 alloy if your searching.. The alloy part on the left side of the pic is made by someone i forgot who exactly it was.. He just offered me those. Bought it originally for the wild willy 2 but never used it. I had it for more than a year already. The angled alloy is a factory part its in your parts bag. I had to ask somebody before regarding that.
  20. More pics of assembly.. Chassis A little alloy stuff
  21. Finally received my City turbo It arrived in less than 10 days.. That was pretty quick shipping from Asia. I ordered extra wheels & tires even before it arrived. Needed some tires for the original wheeler too. Dis assembled the gear box to replace all the plastic bearing to real bearings.
