The Wild Dagger offroader is pretty unique. It uses a variation on the TL-01B chassis and uses 2 gearboxes to power the twin-motor 4WD system. Also, it is not much bigger than and can be set up like a stadium truck, but has the sheer power of a monster truck. And at an excellent price (£120 stock, but fully upgradeable). Excellent truck in my opinion![8D]

OK then, what about Kyosho Magnetic Mayhems? Iv'e heard they have tons of torque, but are they actually any good? Sorry I keep asking questions!

Without doubt the Wild Dagger; hopped-up it's fast, powerful and very slick looking!

One last thing, do the Speed Gem 2's have plenty of torque, do you know? I'm looking at the 17 turn sapphire and I want to use two in my Wild Dagger offroader. I want a lot of torque and reasonable speed. Can these motors deliver? Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to by some lightning fast motors that can't pull a hamster!

On the subject of motors, I just found out that the Trinity Speed Gem 2's have been 'superseeded' with Speed Gem 2 Pro's. Iv'e read about them and they seem better than the normal Speed Gem 2's, but the price is the same at most stores. Is there some sort of catch?

Thanks. Iv'e also heard that on a two motor truck like the Dagger, you have to have one motor in forward rotation, and one in reverse. But surely, if you do this then if you are driving forwards for example, then the two motors would be going against each other?

Iv'e just got a Wild Dagger and I want to upgrade the motors to something faster and more powerful. Thing is, I see most motors have 24 degrees 'forward' timing. Can these run in reverse too? Also, are there any motors for the Dagger that you can recommend?

Well I'm interested in the LRP F1 Pro Reverse Digital speedo. It has no motor limit and has a peak rating of 270 amps and a continuous of 55 amps. Would this be powerful enough?

Cheers, i'll bear that in mind. Another that i'm interested in is the LRP F1 Pro Reverse Digital. Does anyone know if this is good for twin motor offroading?

I'm looking to get an ESC that will work with twin mabuchi 540 motors in parallel. However, i've been told that these will require a lot of current, so if I were to get an an 8-turn ESC that only had a 125 amp continuos rating, would this deplete performance?
It's only that the novak super rooster has a 320 amp rating and 125 does not seem much compared to this.

Hey guys, i have a wild dagger with the stock 540 motors still installed. i want to keep these because they have a lot of torque and i'm not bothered that much about speed, although it would be nice.
Anyways, does anyone know a good performance (and not too expensive) ESC that will work with these motors?

The Trinity Speed Gem 2 series motors are excellent, and all have features dual ball-bearings and adjustable timing (better ask someone else about adj. timing, as I'm pretty new to the hobby.) Anyhow, they have a 17-turn Sapphire motor in the range, and probably a 15 or 16 turn one as well. They offer excellent performance at around £20-30.
