  1. GREAT LOOKING TT-02 Steve! My 6R4 is a standard TT-02 too, so we'll be at the back of the grid together! YES - in addition to the above, I've fixed up my old racing tourer (Schumacher Mi3.5) for some fast fun. I know 2 others will be bring theirs too. There are also a number of TT01's about so you're both be in good company. See you Saturday!
  2. I just hope the weather on Saturday is as good as it was this last weekend!
  3. Yes agree Mr Weston. Last time I used my DT-02 with Carson All Terrain wheels/tyres I bought from Fusion Hobbies, that was excellent! The road/rally cars were pretty good too (TA chassis's etc).
  4. Think I'm about ready, just a couple of fixes left to do!
  5. Yeh, great day at Clumber Park yesterday, a relaxed day out and a nice number of people. quite surprised that the rain kept away. I'm definitely going to go again!!
  6. Hi Butler, yes I make up a drivers list to keep a check on the numbers. I can email you a copy. I don't do a complete cars listing, but one of the first things we do on arrival is get all drivers and all their cars in the middle of the track, so (JWeston!) people can take photo's. Seeing them afterwards is better than text! Since going to Snetterton I've really gotr into the on-road stuff, as quite simply, before, I owned very little like this simply because I couldn't use it. Now we do have somewhere to go I've just bought a few more! I'm definitely gonna have a more of a go at drifting this next time, so if you have one, bring it! there will be others with them too. At the moment I think I'm taking:- Tyrrell P34 re:re (49.... version) F104 Vodaphone McLaren F103GT/LM (BMW V12 MLR version) TT-02 road/rally thingy TA-01 road/rally thingy Schumacher SST - drifter BoLINK Digger (VW Beetle) 2 x Mardave MiniStock's (for sharing around really or letting someones (Mark?) 'kids' play with, maybe) - so that's me and Sludgeguts busy all day then!! Hotshot DT-02 (if it get fixed from my last visit!) Lunchbox (maybe)
  7. Looking forward to it! Just got to finalise a few runners!
  8. I spoke to the Duston Mill boys a couple of weeks ago. They won't be rebuilding the track and using this site for the time being, so they are now looking for another site locally. It souinds like the land owner has lost interest. Any plenty of other things to do this year!! IconicRC A1 Revival Event - DT-02 Challenge - Clumber Park - Snetterton RC Track Meets etc etc. Looks like will be a very good 'rc' year in 2014 in the UK!
  9. Haven't bought an RM-01 (yet!), but have reached out into the 'Le Mans/Endurance' theme with F103GT. I've bought the unusual BMW V12 LM version. Really hope it was the right decision!
  10. Craig, I've got you booked in mate.
  11. I'm very pleased to say that meeting on the 7th June, 2014 is now fully booked! But sorry to say to anyone else, please come back ot this thread in a few weeks time for next meeting date announcement!
  12. Just a quick note (now that we're getting larger numbers on the day) - anyone not using 2.4G, i.e. 27, 35 or 40MHz frequencies, it is all okay no problems, but please let me know when you arrive on the day what frequencies you intend to use. thanks
  13. Steve, I strongly do not recommend Banzai. Keeping it very brief and polite, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere (I'd recommend Stella, RCMart or better still, Fusion in the UK).
  14. Got around 15 people confirmed already, with many unconfirmed so far. All but 2 are TC members, so looks like it'll be another good meeting!
  15. Excellent news John, will bring a few vintage and re:re runners for sure. Like to cancer charity bit too. All I now need to do is get some vintage runers together. Will bring a few rally specs (6R4 and RS200 maybe) to join in with Will16!!
  16. TOP JOB!! On the photos and video Mark, excellent slo-mo's. I now see that all the other F1's were struggling for traction on the fastest part of the circuit. when driving, I thought it was just me! Gonna get some foam/sponge tyres for the next meet, the standard Tamiya rubbers are too hard.
  17. NEXT MEET IS Saturday 7th June, 2014 Those who came before on 1st March, great, would love to see you again! Just say yay or nay on this forum. Anyone who didn't come before, and would like to join us, PLEASE DROP ME A PM INCLUDING YOUR NORMAL EMAIL ADDRESS for more details. I ask for a quick answers please, as numbers will be limited! Thanks, see you there, Simon
  18. Sorry guys, date of next meeting has yet to be confirmed by the track - it will be posted here in a few days.
  19. The trial run on 1st March, 2014 was a huge sucess. 99% of people who came were fellow TC members. This is now THE thread for future and regular meets at this venue. I clarify that its not an official TamiyaClub meet, its a private group meet where we exclusively hire the tarmac Tamiya Racing Circuit at 'The Worlds Greatest Model Shop', Snetterton Park Norfolk NR16 2JU. It is NOT organised/proper racing, its fun use only. As its private hire, you CANNOT just turn up on the day, you must be pre-booked via me. If you came to the previous meeting, just drop me an email to book your place. If you haven't been with us before, please drop me a pm including your email address so I can give full and further necessary details. Places are always very limited, so booking early is recommended. The shop and surrounding facilities have been extensively REFURBISHED (which is still on-going!), so we now have better facilities. There have been GREAT IMPROVEMENTS since the last TC meets in 2009 & 2010!! The track has some covered pits area with mains power supplies. OUR meeting 'rules' for the day are - NO NITRO/PETROL/LARGE SCALE stuff. We run regular 1/10th and 1/12th scale stuff only (1/14th - 1/16th trucks and tanks too), and all electric ONLY. We only run road going vehicles - no space for planes or helicopters! Throughout the day we will ensure there are a number of several minutes slots during the day for those with more delicate stuff like F1/RM-01, touring cars and motorbikes etc. etc. As its a smooth track, this a perfect opportunity to use cars that don't get used much, or ones that have been sat on the shelf!! BUT it doesn't matter if you only have off-roaders. There is a cost of £6 per person (driver) for the day. Once confirmed by me, turn-up when you like between 9am and 5pm, but the cost remains the same. Spectators go free, its a shop and cafe afterall! Tamiya Club, IconicRC, BRCA memberships, or any other membership for that matter, are NOT REQUIRED. Sorry but I must repeat - you cannot just turn up on the day, you must be pre-booked via me. THE DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE AS BELOW!! Attached Thumbnails
  20. Oooppss! Just re-read!!
  21. A VERY SUCESSFUL DAY OUT - keep your eye out for details of the next visit!
  22. Electric rules!! We didn't go home with a head-ache or sticky feet!
  23. THATS A BIG NO to that question! The track is clean and in good order, and the portakabin and steel container (Race Control) don't leak! The current portakabin will be replaced by APRIL 2014 anyway, as I admit, its worn out! The model shop have several 'national' race events booked this year already from the likes of the BRCA and Schumacher etc. So if its good enough for them, its good enough for me!
  24. Don't know of any other trucks going, but looking forward to seeing yours!
