Congrats on the Emaxx and Flux, both are great, I own the older version of the Emaxx and I still love it. The amount of aftermarket parts is incredible as you must know with all of those goodies that you have ordered for it already! Have fun with both cars!! I'm sure that you will.

Thanks for all the tips guys!! I usually like to keep my setups as close to stock, but the steering is just sloppy, this is something that I will def upgrade with the above mentioned modifications.
Thanks!

OK guys!! I just started working on restoring a used clodbuster that I recently purchased.
When I'm driving it around FORWARD it seems like just the REAR wheels turn, and when I drive it backwards it seems like the front wheels are the ones that turn.
My question is it supposed to act this way, aren't both wheels supposed to turn at the same time?
Any help or tips would greatly be appreciated. I want to tear it down fully, clean her up and make sure that everything is in good shape.
Thanks!!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!! Yea I really love Tamiya, the quality and detail is awesome
I just bought some more parts today, a 19 turn motor for the Benetton, some batteries, and misc stuff that I needed. One funny note on my RC collection is the durability of that little hummer, it's the only one of my RC cars that never broke down. On the F1 the tires got too worn to be used and my local hobby store never stocked them, my Losi XXT had a broken chassis plate, my Losi LST had a burned out speed controller, and so on. That hummer has never had anything go wrong with it, I used it frequently to bash around with in my back yard, my nephew also used it a lot, so hats off to the hummer

I also started working on the cludbuster and I'm a little confused on how the 4 wheel steering works, it seam like only the trailing tires are the ones that turn, is it supposed to be like that? I'll get some pics of that beast up tomorrow morning (I'm in California) new paint and chrome parts will be on the list of work to be done on it.
Thanks guys!!

I agree 100% with most of your responses, specially with HereBeMonsters comment about the video games. The same exact thing happened to me, once I hit High School and College I totally forgot about my RC cars and spent most of my time either in school, working and playing video games. I recently got into the hobby again because I have an 11 year old nephew living with us and I wanted to get him away from the PS3 and into something that would get him out doors and that would teach him a thing or two. I can't believe how much fun I'm having again, and I even got my best friend hooked and he's gone out and purchased a couple of trucks too (slash and RC18T).
This is a very fulfilling hobby and takes you out of the monotony of everyday life since one day you can be building, the other day racing, another modifying, painting, and the list is endless.

Hi guys!!
I just returned to the hobby from a 10 year break!! I originally owned two Tamiya RC models, a 1/12 Hummer and a 1/10 Benetton B192. Here are a couple of pics:

and

I also purchased a used clodbuster the other day, it came complete with the radio, charger, batteries and spare parts, it was lightly used and I will post up some pics as soon as I get a chance
I just couldn't resist buying it since I always loved the 4 wheel steering and realism of the design.I just wanted to introduce my self and I will be searching the forums and reading up on the previous posts before making a new thread.
Thanks guys!!

Do a search here: http://monster.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48 I use stock tyres on my Emaxx, no problems, maybe the rubber on yours was just too old.
Good luck.

I wonder what he is going to do when he brakes something? he should have just waited and purchased something that would have at least some replacement parts available.
Good luck!
