I didn't even know they did r/c dumpers? Or is this a vintage im not sure?

I would have to say a large pickup would be nice, Dodge Ram SRT-10, Pagani Zonda or even a nice low down Koeniggsegg.

I drive an 04 Kia Sedona 2.9td. Mainly because we need to fit four kids and me and the missus plus bags aswell. If we had boght something smaller we would have to leave bags behind. Remember only milk and juice conme in 2 litres.

My apologies admin, should of read all the forum titles before posting.

Im running a viper eco20 esc with a 21 turn motor in my tb03 gtr and it is running pretty well at the moment, just dont like the delays before reverse kicks in but then its very quick indeed, the only thing that lets my car down is the steering setup because there is so much play in the standard kit its terrible for straight line when under full speed. Im looking into it though. Touch wood i dont fry my esc with what people have been saying about them.

So if put an ESC in i can just run the one servo just like my TB-03. How much are they to buy on there own, can anyone reccomend one that will work best with this radio gear that i have got?? cheers for the advice.

Iooking at the thread with everyones deliveries and if it weren't for a holiday in a couple of weeks i could be out spending on one of these Superclods or a crawler, and i was just wondering what jobs everyone does to fund there addiction to keep the stuff coming in through the door?

I am a cnc machinist at Rolls Royce, with a wife and four kids.

Its all on charge as i type, just searching the house for some AA's because they are wired in to power the receiver. Its a 40mhz set up with as17 servo's and like the previous thread the forward reverse servo was just slowly going forward and backwards when i had took the control arm off the top of the servo and would't sit still. Finally got it to sit still about ten mins ago so everything is on charge at the moment in response to your reply. The charger i got with my skyline was an Ansman slow charger, something like 16 hours and i dont rate this at all, i had a quick charger with my old calsonic skyline and that worked wonderful. Any recommendations for a battery and charger deal?????

Turned it on this morning guys and my servos aren't responding to the controlller now. The speed controller seems to just stay in one position which is just forward a tiny bit. Can servo's be reset or re-installed for them to work properly?
-
Just a quick one people, my blackfoot is running and she is sweet very sweet, but the radio gear thats in has got a bit of a quirk. Its an old skool three stage manual speed controller and after a few blips forward the servo returns back to neutral but goes all the way into reverse causing it to do a burnout for a brief moment till it returns to the proper neutral position. Any ideas why this does this? I have altered the trim on the handset and it still does it a little bit, does the rod need moving to another pin hole on the servo. Cheers .

Im just down the road in Ilkeston and i wouldn't mind getting to a meet when the timing is right, not sure if my blackfoot can compare with those willys and hi lux's though, but i need to sort out some spare batterys first so that i can run for a while with both my cars, and not just ten minutes then stopping.

I must admit when im doing my cars or im trimming my shell at work, the lads all come up enquiring about my car, and they seem to get all speccy on me with questions like how long to build, was it hard to build and of course the how fast question. Some of them get a bit dare i say it jealous when i answer them, but when they are oiut spending £3-400 on reels for fishing i say nothing (mainly because i cant stand fishing) because thats there hobby and this is mine now that i am getting back into it. Although the skeptical ones do go quiet when i run my car inside work and it is thundering down the main gangway fishtailing at full chat because its a smooth floor. Some people say good on ya and are quite impressed but others just dont seem to want to know which is fine but keep the negative comments to yourself, especially when you get comments like "my bikes better" or my fishing rod costs more than that". I prefer the smaller stuff and i intend to buy a lot more cars than the blackfoot that i have and my xanavi gtr. It is my hobby and i love it. Heres a couple of pics but they dont do it justice. My neighbour is one of those that cant comprehend what it takes to build one of these and then go through the set up process but then he would rather sit and watch football, but i say to all the non believers out there, try it and you will love it.

Right guys first of all thanks for all the advice (apart from the tongue bit
) I charged the battery all night, i have a slow charger so it take the pee ice. Put it in my tb-03 skyline and nothing, so im just going to get on the phone where i got it from and give them an arsing. It has only been used a handful of times because of work., But thanks guys for the advice and tips. -
i have only got the one battery but it was working with that very motor last week, not sure why it isnt spinning even when connected to the battery.
-
ok cool.
could be the resistor unless you have manual moved the speed controller to full.
still nothing, how annoying is this, the old resistor isnt doing anything either, i have put the motor pins directly on the battery and its not spinning either. Its a new motor i was only running it last week.
-
Still points to speed controller then.
i know, im going to hook up the old one in a min and see if that makes a difference, really frustrating when you know you have replaced everything.
-
i have just wired in a 4xAA supplement battery pack and now all the servos work but the motor doesn't spin either way connected up and its the same with the old motor, they dont spin up but everything else is working.
-
Thats what i thought so i bought a new one this morning. All the electrical equipment is brand new and i cant understand why it doesn't even turn the motor when i move it manually (even after i have swapped the motor wires round.
-
Right guys need some help as im stuck. Rebuilt the lads blackfoot. New motor, radio gear, battery and speed controller. Although the only problem is when i plug everything in im not getting, anything. Not even the motor if i move the servos myself. Everything is brand new i cant understand it. Hopefully a couple of pics with this. Any ideas?????????

Its an original blackfoot with the abs shell. Just waiting on some decalls to finish it off and tonight got the radio gear to put in, but just wanted to put some new wheels and aggressive looking tyres on it.
-
If i wanted to change the wheels on my lads blackfoot what options are open to me, i have had a look on Apex's website and there are some nice crawler tyres and some pretty cool looking rims for monster trucks and crawlers. Trouble is some are made by hpi and losi and im not sure if the axles are the same mounting for them. Can anyone shed some guidance on these please, what will fit and what wont. Thanks.

Have you got any pics mate?
-
Its looking like i wont be able to get the one on ebay but bstill hoping, but i want to build one or get one anyway. I haven't got much cash as i go to florida very soon but if anyone has got bits of one that they are getting rid of i will take a look, cant promise i will buy for definate but will try. Thanks.

i have seen it mate, and i am watching it. I will admit i woiuld like to pick it up even if it is cheap (sorry i know thats not what you want to hear). I really am eager for that model aswell, but i wouldn't know where to start with offering a price or trade to finish early.
