was this comment tailor-made for yours truly?!?!

No no, unintentional

....but my inner 8 year old giggles just typing the name.
And if we're putting out our hopes and dreams for rerelease... I've wanted an Audi Quattro Rally, and a Bigwig. I really hope they come out with another 959/Celica, but with some rear end fixes. Can't believe I had 4 of those as a kid and don't have a single screw left from them at this point

i'd be happy as a clam if the Fox were re-re'd! same with the Super Champ. i'd get a SC to build and keep the Fox NIB. ooh, and a re-re Blackfoot - would keep NIB too...
BUT
is there are reason to believe Tamiya's plan is to continually re-release old models? is it possible we may have seen all the re-releasing they intended to do?
Re-re's are a license to print money for Tamiya... I can't see why they would stop! And certainly not before I've gotten all I want, of course!

I'm in for just about anything that I was unable to get as a kid. And if they make some newer kits that look interesting, mores the better. Like the ridiculous Farm King. Couldn't pass that bizarre thing up. Still wish I could find a Mammoth Dump somewhere too....

Oh god, the NIB top force I bought a few years ago had the same problem. It was horrid. Especially the manual.
My procrastination paid off in that regard... the smell dissipated over the past couple years of sitting in my basement and I have just completed it.

What if you just build up to full throttle slowly then floor it?
Under full power on a high traction surface it'll flip. Easing up to full power on good traction can still elicit a nifty wheelie.
I never had a Frog "back in the day" but I never noticed anything of the sort on my Hornet from that era. I certainly would have noted such bad assed behavior in my youth!
Do ESC's and modern nimh batteries make that large of a difference?

I just recently finished building a Frog re-release with a Tamiya "lightly tuned" motor.... it would probably be more fun to drive if it didn't keep flipping over under full power.
Is that normal, btw?

Whew.. glad I'm not the only one who has this "problem"

Just built my reissue Hotshot and thought I had done something wrong, since its turning radius is... barge-like. Knowing that they are supposed to be like that is a relief!
Now... are the gearboxes supposed to sound like rock crushers too?
