If thats right about the esc, what about the Reedy Stockstar 27t. There's a few 2nd handers going on Ebay, and if it any good I could stretch to the £33 for a new one.

I'm looking to upgrade the motor in my Boomerang. I don't have bundles to spend, £20-£30 at a push. I have the standard TEU 101 bk esc so whatever I get, this will have to be able to cope with it. I'm considering a Super Stock RZ 23T.... is this any good. Can you get anything better for the same price? As always any advice would be appreciated.

Yes mate. I charged the 3000 for 8.5 hrs and got 5 mins running time with the boomer. With the same charge time I got over half an hour with the grasshopper.

Without wishing to sound too desperate, any advice at all would be great. Although the wheels turn alot more freely from the front box than the rear, there does seem to be some friction at a particular point of the rotation. So, when you turn the left front, part of the rotation becomes stiffer, thus causing the right wheel/suspension arm to lift. The rear wheels seem particularly stiff. The only point of reference/comparison I have is my grasshopper and when I turn one of the rear wheels on this there is virtually no friction/stiffness at all.

Hi all. I finished putting together my new Boomerang at the weekend and after much excitement I have to say that its first run left me disappointed. It's not as fast as my old Grasshopper (this just has a standard 540 motor) and I'm wondering whether I've mucked something up during the construction. Everything appears to be fine but the lack of speed coupled with the fact that it ate up an Ansmann 3000 battery in about five minutes suggests that something is wrong. Sorry for the ignorance, but any advice on whether something sounds wrong or if I'm just expecting too much would be appreciated.
