  1. Nice collection yogi. Found three more potential tracks today while "working". One of them is like 5 mins from where I used to live and didn't even know it was there. Am taking a runner there early in the morning for a test run. It's actually in your neck of the woods yogi over sunnybank/macgregor way. Will post some pics tomorrow.
  2. Not really sure to be honest. Judging by some of the more recent rereleases, in particular the avante and fav, Tamiya don't seem to be too bothered reproducing original parts. Seeing as a reasonable amount of parts are already in production, you would think a mud blaster/monster beetle re-release on the orv chassis would be feasible. But we have been saying that for the last 5-6 years now so who knows!
  3. Very true. The thing that is throwing me off being a re-release is the "Mud Blaster II" title. Really hope it isn't put on the Dagger chassis. While i don't mind it, you need to throw a bunch of money at it to make it half decent. ORV chassis all the way for me.
  4. I think you've hit the head on the nail mate. Re-release the Mud Blaster first before the big Monster Beetle re-re is how this (hopefully) will play out. As you say, the Blackfoot is going through another incarnation and won't get the re-release. It looks like Tamiya's strategy is re-release the less popular model first then the big one. E.g. Buggy Champ- Sand Scorcher, FAV- Wild one, Stadium Blitzer- Blitzer Beetle. Of course this has not always been the case as the Hotshot came before the Boomerang.
  5. Hi Peter I've seen the one at wynnum but ive never used it. Mark lives right near the capalaba track- not sure what it's like though. I've run at the two redland bay tracks and they are both good fun. Have you used the wynnum track?
  6. Here are some tracks ive come aross whilst pretending to work. The first one is Bowman Park at Bardon About 5-10 mins drive from that one is this one:- Sunset Park, Ashgrove And then there is the two tracks at Redland Bay:- And the second track, which is about 5-10mins away What do you think of these options? There is another one i'm really keen to have a look at, which hopefully i'll get to in the next week or so.
  7. Suggestions hey. How far do you want travel? Have seen a few places whilst on the road for work plus the two redland bay ones. I will post pics when I get home of some options.
  8. Sure thing. Keep an eye out on this thread for future runs. It's all very casual and you can run whatever you like (except gas cars-too noisy!)
  9. Yep, that's spot on. Nothing is more confusing and frustrating than reading one long, continuous sentence that is missing punctuation. I know many people (not just Gen Y) that do just that in everyday life unfortunately. Re-releases are what got my back into the hobby 3 years ago. I now own a mixture of re-releases (because i enjoy building a new kit) and vintage (for the originality factor). Just enjoy whatever you want, regardless of your literacy ability (or inability).
  10. What a top day! Here are a few pics. Must do another beach run again real soon.
  11. Me too. Should be good fun. Only have the Iphone for pics though. Packed the tarp?? Ive got the WD40, hahahahaha
  12. Vintage Beach Run- Gold Coast Tomorrow morning 930-10am. Southport Spit near Seaworld. Come and run some cool vintage cars and have some fun (runners only-no bookshelf dust gatherers please!) Pm me for additional info.
  13. Just checked the tides for the goldy for next Saturday. High tide is at 5.27am, low tide is at 11.08 am and high tide again is at 5.45pm. My thoughts are we do an early morning run, say around 8-9am. That way we hit the runout tide and hopefully avoid a packed beach.
  14. Yeah forgot about school holidays- **** it! I'd avoid places like burleigh and Kirra for sure. Morgan and I went to the spit last time. We parked in the carpark next to the pool. That can get really busy too. Was thinking maybe further towards the sand pumping jetty near the top of the spit. It will also depend on what time we go too.
  15. How's the beach run shaping for next weekend? Are we still on?
  16. Hey boys, here are a selection of pics from Sun arvo that I haven't put on my showroom yet. Its the best of the air shots that i took. Once again, what an excellent run that was!!! (see, i too can overuse punctuation-hahahahaha)
  17. Thanks Peter for coming along. Was nice to meet you guys. The lunchbox battle was chaos but good fun. Have got some great pics of your cars in action. I will sort them out in the next day or so and will post them up here and on my showroom. Cheers Paul
  18. Actually, I see you own a lunchbox Max power- you should bring it along if you decide to come. We all have lunchboxes too. Oh no, could this be a class we are starting! Hahahahaha
  19. Yep, the more the better. Bring whatever you like-everything is welcome there.
  20. Nice blitzers guys. Those tyres look sweet!
  21. The Goldy sounds good. Last time we went to the Spit, which wasnt busy at all (it was a weekday though). Here's a couple of pics- Do you want to go there or somewhere else? Thorneside should be top fun if the weather is kind.
  22. Here's a pic :- I quite like it. I think it will sell reasonably well too.
  23. You could always leave your shed unlocked for us Scott so we can take some of your favourites for a run! Oh and charge up some batteries for us too!
  24. Hahaha, love that simpsons lunchy! Thats the other great thing about Lunchy's- Customization!
  25. Midnight Pumpkin bodies will fit on but will require different body posts. The Pajero whe its rereleased will fit too. Here is a couple of pics of the fun we have with Lunchboxes
