  1. If you guys are concerned about running with faster cars at brendale then you will have the same concerns there.
  2. In all fairness though, the guys that race at brendale are proper racers as opposed to wannabe's who don't get the meaning of "vintage". I'm in for any kind of run. It's not looking too busy for me over the next few weeks but that can change quickly unfortunately.
  3. Even if there are other cars running, that track is plenty wide so they can pass without any hassles.
  4. Logan is gated and is locked up most of the time. I'd be keen to have a run over Xmas some time.
  5. Yeah it's on-road cars only. Could be tough going there on a weekend as they race, plus I'd imagine it's packed even on non race days. I wonder if they open on weeknights?
  6. Count me in for England park raceway. It's a bit of a hike to brendale but the track looks awesome. I don't mind shelling out ten bucks to use it either
  7. You are correct- "super" is indeed printed vertically beside "Hot". I must say I love the look of the street sand rover (can't believe I just said that). Maybe it's the colour or the wheels. It actually looks cool.
  8. The big T has a heart after all! Congrats on your persistence
  9. I posted some pics of various on-road tracks on previous pages of this thread. Not sure if you have seem them? There are a few to choose from. Why a night run if you don't mind me asking?
  10. Hi Peter Where were you thinking? Obviously somewhere well lit!
  11. There's only one reason i want the Supershot to be rereleased- GOLD WHEELS!!!!!
  12. No wonder you have so many projects still in waiting brad- you work too much! Will be looking forward to Xmas holidays so we can run anytime we want. Who's up for some Xmas holidays running??
  13. Here are some pics from our little vintage gathering we earlier today. Nice to see some "real" vintage classics in action
  14. Nice! I'll bring the monster beetle for some fun circa 1986 style.
  15. A couple of us are going for a vintage run this arvo. Anyone want to join us, here are the details:- Place- Talburpin park, Redland bay. It's at the end of Phillip st, off Serpentine creek road. Time- 1.00pm onwards Here are some pics of the track.
  16. Hi The colours you require are:- Ps1 white and ps22 racing green for the body Ps5 black for the inside of the cockpit X-2 white, x-18 semi gloss black and x-3 royal blue for the helmet Hope this helps Paul
  17. Yes!! We finally broke him!
  18. Hey guys, I cant do Sunday arvo as I just realised I have to work for a couple hours pulling down stuff at good food and wine expo. Is Saturday a possibility?
  19. Cheers dude. You really should come out for a run with us one day soon. Its just like old times when running vintage really meant runnining vintage!
  20. Yeah thorneside looks to be the front runner. If you like jumps and plenty of dusty dirt action, you'll love thorneside. We have had some good meets there lately.
  21. I'm keen some vintage dirt fun next weekend. Forecast isn't great for the week though. Let's hope it stays away as im keen for a "real" vintage off-road meet.
  22. Hey James Also try looking on for sale threads on sites like rc tech (as well as tc). Alot of guys are selling directly through them now and bypassing eBay all together. Much cheaper to do so due to smaller or no fees. Cheers Paul
  23. Yeah not my thing either. I've never been interested in drifting in either real or rc form. I was reading some old (4-5 years ago)drift threads on another site recently and finding suitable locations to run seemed to be the biggest problem. Most were resorting to running at night time in underground car parks. Meeting at 8pm on week nights to run doesn't make it very appealing or accessible to most people. Maybe this is why it has dropped off.
  24. Over here in Australia it seems to be short course trucks which are really taking off. There is also a strong vintage scene in QLD and NSW as well. Drifting was gainining in popularity a few years ago but seems to be a little quiet (atleast it is in my city). There are also some on-road tracks around which are running mostly tourers as well as some F1. It does seem that electric is becoming popular because of brushless/lipo combos as the noise issues associated with nitro/gas cars. Many tracks are now banning them because of too many noise complaints.
  25. Still waiting for it- should be here either tomorrow or Monday. Say, if you want to part with any Scott, let me know.
