I got some old crystals laying around if you require some? Let me know if you do. Anyone else want to come for some on- road fun, we will be at springwood reservoir at around 130 onwards. It's on springwood road opposite the tennis club. Nitro/gas cars are not allowed and council will fine you if they catch you. There is a carpark next to the reservoir as well. -

Ok fellas what time tomorrow arvo? I was thinking about 230. There is no shade there so the sun might not be so harsh at that time -

You have a wife that actually wants to watch motor racing?? I got razzed for watching the one hour F1 qualifying last weekend. You are a very lucky man indeed. Do you guys want to do Sun arvo at the Springwood reservoir? Everyone seems keen to run some on-road stuff. I'll run my FAV and something else until my F1 is ready. -

There is a big fort in the playground as well which I'm sure he would enjoy. The park is called Kalinga park in case you were wondering. -

Mark and I have been talking about having a run this weekend depending on weather. For off-road we were thinking thorneside or redland bay. If too muddy, then maybe the concrete playground on top of springwood reservoir ( pics at top of page) -

Yeah it looks brilliant. It's quite a busy park from what I've heard although it was pretty empty at 1pm yesterday. If your son gets bored running cars there is plenty of swings and stuff to play on (if he's not too old!) -

Haha, thanks Brad. With the prospect of tons of rain predicted for this summer, i thought it was about time i dabbled in some on-road stuff. Atleast concrete dries quicker than dirt! Super keen to build and run something completely new to me. Mark has a vintage F189 so that will add to the F1 fun. Found a cool looking track to run cars on today. It's over Clayfield way, so i went a had a look while in the area. -

Yeah I've always been off-road. Thought it was about time I branched out to on-road. Just had to work out what to get. Won't be venturing into the world of nitro though. -

I got this:- Ferrari 643. I'm a big fan of 80's-90's F1 cars, so i thought id start here. It's an old style car based on the new F104 chassis. If I enjoy it, i will start looking at acquiring some vintage F1's as well. On-road cars are new ground for me so i'll be looking forward to something new. -

Can't help you on that one but Mark might be able to. Just purchased an F1 car last night so i'll be giving it a good workout there too. -
Mud Blaster II to be released...............?
Retro rules! replied to dabigbozz's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Yep,totally agree. The body just doesn't look right right on that chassis for me. It looks too small and reveals more of the chassis. When you look at how good the Brat shell sits on the ORV chassis, there really is no competiton. Tamiya could have atleast given it some better shocks instead of the tiny, very hard friction ones. For anyone who may be considering buying the MBII, here's a couple of pics of the upgrades i made to my Twin Det -

Yeah the council have tried to make it usable for kids. I never see any kids there though, which makes it even better to run cars. I do see other guys up there running cars. -

Hi Yogi Nah, a couple of us were just about to do an early Saturday morning dash to the Gap to check out the two tracks but that big storm beat us. Looks like this weekend won't be a goer either with the rain thats dropped today. Anyone looking for some on-road fun, here are some pics of a cool place to run. Its the top of the reservoir on Springwood road. I took the FAV for a blast around it and it's cool fun. No nitro's allowed (375 dollar fine) but electrics are welcome. With all the wet weather predicted in the coming months, this could be an alternative. -

Oh I can assure you they will be different to the original. My guess is they will most likely be rather ugly too, which will just detract from buying it even more. -
Mud Blaster II to be released...............?
Retro rules! replied to dabigbozz's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Yep, good idea. And the wild one will arrive at some stage soon too. Atleast it's based on the original chassis and not some modern remake rubbish that seems to be tamiya's way of thinking lately. The final insult will be if they make a monster beetle II based on the same chassis complete with an incredibly underpowered transmission and horrible undersized friction shocks. -

Very sad indeed. Unfortunately predicted though with the "Mud Blaster II" title. Whoever buys one will need to put an extra 100 bucks aside- you'll need it for the necessary upgrades to make the car half enjoyable. Shame Tamiya shame -

Here are a couple of tracks i found last week. They are both situated at the Gap. Bit of a hike but could be worth it. A couple of us are gonna check these out next week as well as our normal run- venue TBA. I'm happy to do either Saturday or Sunday for our usual get together. Will go to the Gap on the alternative day. -
Well he is a real american whose fighting for the rights of every man. Don't forget to say your prayers and eat your vitamins brother! P.s Did he also want us to drink milk? Can't remember.

I vote red. If they do end up doing a proper rerelease, they may as well go the whole hog and make the chassis red.
