  1. So when should we do the beach run? The weekend of the 24th is good for me as the missus is away. What you all think?
  2. For me, I prefer more realistic looking models. That's why I like the Lunchbox. It looks like the old school monster trucks of the 80's (google Rollin thunder monster truck). Like the others said, they are big, goofy fun. The do roll over quite easily and bounce around but put some oil shocks in and it will handle better. Never owned a wild willy so can't comment but the do look fun. I own a Frog and I find the brat/frog chassis the least maintenance out of all chassis types I own. You could always get a brat and put bigger wheels on it and make it a Mud Blaster. Whatever way you go, you'll have fun.
  3. 60 pounds more for a different body and white wheels seems a bit pricey.
  4. Will be cheaper from Japan or HK. Will have to see what champ is selling them for.
  5. I'm liking it more and more. Should be nice and cheap too!
  6. Looks good Mark. Not really into spaceship looking buggies but quite like the avante. Looks like a challenging build, which I like. Will be interesting to see how durable they are, particularly around Boondall.
  7. Yep, I like it too. I stuck with tradition and did boxart but I really like seeing these customs. Well done, it looks great!
  8. No go for me i'm afraid. The Minister has booked us for a Saturday arvo BBQ so i won't make it back in time. Come check out the two new places at Redland Bay asap.
  9. Yep, me too. I remember riding down to Mr toys in the pouring rain and buying one for $200. The store wrapped it in a few big bags for me and then i rode home. Riding and trying to hold a kit box at the same time is not easy!! I pretty much built it that afternoon too. I was 14 at the time, so it would have been 1988. Paul
  10. Personally Id prefer looks over performance (both is better!) as I like cars that look a little more realistic. I think if Kyosho were to ever rerelease some of their classics, they would sell like hot cakes- possibly even more than some tamiyas.
  11. Looks cool except for the oversized shock tower on the front. It's higher than the windscreen! Anyhow, maybe Kyosho might just realize that there is gold in them there re-release hills!!
