  1. Fast and cheap don't got together in this hobby, surely you must have figured this out by now?

Actually the word cheap and this hobby don't go together, lol.

Racing at your local track might be cheaper than you think. I pay $20 to enter a race here, most tracks are near that price around here. It's usually and all day event, with mains at the tail end. The most expensive part comes when you crash and need parts. Make sure you have spare parts, most tracks around here gouge you for parts, as well Tamiya parts around here are hard to come by. The most expensive thing you may need is one of these http://www.amb-it.com/ambrc-transponders-c-16_18.html. A lot of tracks will loan you one too, of course at a cost for the loaner/deposit to make sure you return it.

Good luck with your endeavor, but your money would better be spent in competition/club racing.

    Thanks for the info

i might stick with bashing 4 a bit longer

Yer i know rc is expensive... every time i run my slash i need new parts...lol

  2. How new are you to this hobby? I am guessing rather new since every new person tends to be obsessed with "how fast can I go". To go as fast as you are talking about in this thread you will need something custom built. I highly doubt you are going to achieve it with a kit you bought from your local hobby shop.

There is so much more to this hobby than going fast. While yes I do love to endulge in watching it/feeling my car zoom by there is something to be said about a car that is fast yet controllable. Give me a tuned car with great handling and adequate power and you will see a happy driver.

The car you mentioned would be a great track car with the right driver. Get on a RC track, there is far more than speed envolved. In fact sometimes too much speed will cost you a race.

Iv been in the hobbie for about 7-8 years. iv got a tt-01 and a slash but there not fast enough for me..

i mainly bash and race my mates. dont have the money to race competitivly.

I want to go fast without the need of going nitro

    Thanks

    Matthew

  3. How fast you want to go??

As fast as my money can take me.. lol

Once i get the car(after a lil more reserch) il get a gryo and a bl motor.

whats the fastest motor that will fit in it?

  4. This probably isn't the place to be researching "Top speed" RC...

Go to the websites of the current record holders or find what forums they frequent and see what's what...

im asking about the car in general not the accal acheving of the speed lol

  5. I guess it would be customised beyond recognition. I think the car used for this originally was an Shumacher Mi3 but its pretty customised and not really a schumacher Mi3 lol ;)

yer. i was going to use it as a base and strech the chassis thand longer belts.

kinda just a lengthened version of the 3 racing chassis.

but i wana play with it first lol get a feeling for how the car goes together
