  1. Does the standard driveshafts fit the various variety of track width? Or does one need to get longer shafts at some point? Thanks!
  2. How wide is the body across the front and rear fender then since spacer are needed? And good luck with choosing a color :-) Thanks!
  3. Just curious about the 84385 Honda NSX. The chassis is not listed, but Tamiyas US site says it will be a Direct Drive chassis. Hmm.....exciting :-) But will it be a re-releases of the F103 GT or a brand new chassis? Or this could of course just be a simple human mistake placing the 84385 Honda NSX in the wrong chassis category........
  4. The car is absolutely fantastic. Love it!
  5. That lay-out is exactly the same as my set-up, I did on my TGX way back using a Predator motor mount. But then again, not that many options for mounting a motor mount on that particular chassis ;-) I can not wait for you to report back on how the Porsche goes. I mean, it has been undertaken a very seriously surgery......
  6. Back then Tamiya did some nice big scale bodies including your Porsche. @hedge: Maybe neverfollow enjoy a challenge? I know, I did - and still do ;-) I did convert my TGX back in 1995 using a Predetor motor mount and I also made a custom carbon fiber chassis replacing the stock aluminum chassis. But it was not a brushless set-up, obviously ;-) I used a modified brushed Tamiya motor. The motor did a fairly good job of moving the car around. Todays brushless motors and lipos (used Ni-Cd back then) will make the car much faster and nimble. Try some better tires, I believe the wheels are 2.2. The stock tires had zero grip ;-) BTW, I had the Mercedes body. I still have my car but it is tucked away in the attic. It will take me like a billion years to dig my way in. Sorry! Hmm although, this post have giving me an urge to dig out the car....... Good luck with your project :-)
  7. I like the slim design and the overall looks of the buggy including some nice herritage :-) A nice benchmark for the Toy Fair thats starts tomorrow.
  8. I agree, the car really look the part :-) One question though; will touring car wheel with 6mm offset be wide enough to fit the car? Thanks :-)
  9. Other images of the FJ Cruiser on this blog courtesy Tamiya USA: http://blog.tamiyausa.com/2013/11/new-tamiya-fj-cruiser-on-cc-01-chassis.html#.UotpuZHOd8A Sorry, for some reason I could not make the link look nicer then this. Had the impression that I could "cover" the link in a piece of text (like this: click) Oh, well so much to learn. Still an old fart, then! :-)
  10. Tamiyablog has pictures from the fair showing the FJ Cruiser. Is it lexan or hardbody, anyone? I think the Cruiser looks great :-)
  11. I don't actually have a TT02, but from the manual I believe it's all about reversing the rear a-arms - well something to do with the suspension arms :-)

  13. Not able to upload images, but they are to be found on redrc.net Enjoy!
  14. I am still waiting for the parts, so I have no experience with the mod, just yet ;-)
  15. I did order some parts from my local LHS to do the same mod to my F104 using a Savöx SC-1251MG. The parts I got together are the following: Ball connecters #54209 (4 pcs.) Turnbuckle #19808238 (2 pcs.) Adjuster #53601 (2 pcs.) Nuts #54155 (4 pcs.) Spacers #53539 (they come in a small bag) Also got a Kimbrough servosaver to fit my Savöx. Check out the Tamiya USA website, here you'll find a very good article about the F104 Ver. ll including choice of servo (regular vs. low profile) BTW the number for the turnbuckles, I think I got that from the manual of the F104 var. II.
  16. Great looking hauler, Henrik :-) I can see there is a bigger gap between the front tire and the fender of the truck in the later pictures vs the pictures in the opening post. Did you raise the body on the chassis (by the bodymount) or did you raise the ground clearance? Thanks!
  17. The manual for this great re re-release: http://www.tamiya.com/japan/download/rcmanual/58525.pdf Much better reading then the Sunday Paper ;-) Enjoy!
  18. The manual for the pro kit is up on Tamiya USA's website: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58526
  19. I am in the same boat as you guys, I also love the Tamiya manuals. Joe Anderson from Tamiya USA has promised me that he will upload the Bruiser manual when he gets his own to build - which is soon I hope
  20. Here you go: http://www.tamiya.com/japan/download/rcmanual/58497.pdf Enjoy!
  21. The transmission appears less bulkly then the High Lift transmission, just like the original one did. In the original Bruiser the transmission came pre assembled - I hope Tamiya let you build this one yourself :-)
  22. From what I understand, Tamiya is working on some new 1/12 bodies for this chassis.
  23. I qoute from the english Tamiya website: "This chassis is designed for use with Item 55105 Tamiya LF Battery LF1100-6.6V Racing Pack (M-Size) and it will be compatible with new 1/12 scale R/C car bodies that are under development (existing M-Chassis bodies are also compatible)." Did you guys knew this? Where I snipped the qoute: http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/84255ta05m4/index.htm
