  1. Ah, ok. Maybe I've got a selection of TA01 then. Did anyone else make a carbon/frp set for these?
  2. It's bit of a hybrid. It's loosely based on early TA with either modded or fabricated suspension etc. Moderately capable, a lot of dive under heavy braking, a better break over angle would help, but fairly cheap....
  3. I'll be listing a Dynatech 02H motor on eblag shortly. It's absolutely brand new & mint in a mint box........... If you're interested - pm me swiftly. Thanks

  5. Hi Antony, Admittedly the cursory glance this afternoon, the two seem very similar. Maybe I'll sit down and compare the two sometime.
  6. Hi Steve, that would be great - thanks
  7. Wow! Looks really good. Does it leak like a real defender?
  8. Hi, Your pics look like they're of the 1:18 UH Defender, is it really 1:10? - it looks like its metal.
  9. I've got a t least one of these NIB, but can't immediately find the manual to check for completeness - anyone able to help? I've also got a TA02 variant and I'm sure that there's only 3 parts different (the two plates & the shaft), but it's a manual for the '01 I'd like please. Thanks
  10. Hiya, trying to find out about this one. I really would like a scale(ish) 6wd trials truck type thing - but can't find much - any suggestions?
  11. I'm currently running a LRP Truck puller & std pinions & esc, but would like a bit more torque & speed. Every now & then I snap a dogbone or shear a hex pin or something, so I don't want to be blowing the drivetrain every time I'm playing, but a bit more torque wouold help sometimes (traction permitting). What's the current flavour of preference?
  12. I'm after some portals for a proposed machine soon, I know some german guys use them , but have no idea where to find them. Any suggestions? Thanks
  13. Just thought I'd add my rant. I've been using the bay for over 9 years, having previously relied on the likes of LOOT/QXL etc. I used to rely on ebay to find all sorts of weird bits I couldn't get elsewhere as well as selling. Nowadays, all the decent sellers have long gone, bargains are only accidental and selling things is barely viable. Their 5p listing days help to get some interest in the cheaper items, but they rarely sell. Final value fees are extortionate. Their levels of service are appalling - no wonder they hide. The new search is so cumbersome, I'm amazed someone signed it off - it's atrocious. The results are all fluffy with more garbage than I want - I'm after the results of my search - nothing more thanks. Since ebay bought paypal a few years back - their fees have also been "realigned". Nowadays, I still use ebay, but not exclusively by any means. I've taken to using Gumtree & LOOT again. It's about time ebay had a double helping of common sense - and fast. If they were clever, they could actually do rather well out of the current economic climate. They've forgotten their roots.......... I hope a viable worldwide alternative pops up - soon.
  14. oooer! Let's hope I trip over a crate of them - you know the crate next to the pile of bullion at the bottom of the money tree..............
  15. there's this on eblag: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-50290-RX-540V...Q2em118Q2el1247 are these technigolds valuable? What's the advantage of them over A.N.Other motor?
  16. Off the top of my head; I've got hard & carbon propshafts, ball diffs, frp chassis, frp fr& rear suspension mounts, uni shafts, C hubs, asst'd dampers/coils, stainless suspension shafts, carbon gear shafts................... Most of which are still sealed & genuine tamiya. I've also got a few M04 hop ups, which I might keep for my Alfa If there's interest, I'll try to list them as well as try to find out what the value might be if anything. Thanks
  17. Thank you. I've got a few others I use - a Land Rover 110 sort of scale, for crawling, but I've always wanted to build a unimog - not being able to afford a real one. A CR01 seems to be close to what I'm after without going nuts. I guess that I could put whatever I get from a TXT towards something else. I've got loads of long discontinued parts & hopups I should perhaps be parting with too.
  18. I've got got quite a few parts about, mostly NIP - are these worth hanging on to for the numerous older cars I have, or are they readily available still? Thanks
  19. I'm looking for suggestions for an (inexpensive) radio that will handle 4wheel steer, a 3racing winch (when I get it), and possibly a MFC............? - of course I'd imagine that such a beast that also had a few model memories would be geat, but are they hugely more expensive? Thanks
  20. I've had a new TXT for ages, but I've never built it. I'm now rather taken with an Axial or CR-01 instead. Should I build the TXT, then sell it, build it & run it (I don't have a twin motor esc tho') or should I just leave it boxed & save up for a CR?

  22. I'm ideally looking for an Axial or a Tamiya CR-01
  23. My New boxed TXT might be looking for a new home - I'm hoping someone wants to trade up from their boxed 'mog ideally (Land Cruiser as a second choice). Drop me a line if there's any interest
  24. I like - well done! What are the wheels & tyres you've used under the BF? Thanks Neill
