Is this the same/similar to the Top Force chassis?
I think it is. I can post a couple of images of the chassis plates if that'll help identify it one way or the other.

Up on ebay:

Probably incomplete, but the main ingredients are there.
Thanks

Preferred is totally the wrong word here, it's illegal to run anything ground based on 35mhz as it's reserved for aircraft.
It's illegal to run r/c cars in the UK on anything but 27mhz, 40mhz or 2.4Ghz.
If you are caught running on any other frequency the police will confiscate the equipment.
Thanks for all the help. somewhat clearer now.
As far as the police are concerned........ they won't even turn up to burglaries etc.
Thanks.

Here's a link to Tamiya America for a PDF of the manual; http://www.tamiyausa.com/pdf/manuals/58405ml.pdf
As to price????? Mine as a roller w'out speedo???? Dunno, swap for your Taisan Porsche????
Sadly, the taisan is spoken for.
Thanks for the pointer on the manual.
-
I'm stuck in the UK.
is 35 generally regarded as aircraft only?
thanks
-
Which is the preferred frequency for cars? Obviously, It'd be nice to upgrade to digital......
Just to confuse matters, some of my cars are on 27MHz, one I don't know & another on 72.9MHz!
Thanks
-
I didn't want 4ws so I bought those to replace all of the steering parts. When you build the axles, you build them as the same, with exception to the clocking of the knuckles, inc the rods between the knuckles etc... with the exception that you make up a lockout rod instead of a steering rod. Have a look ing the manuals section of the kit. You'll see what I mean.
BTW, been thinking about selling mine.........
I haven't seem a manual yet, there's not a scan up yet & I'll still saving for my own - hence selling heaps of parts on the 'bay & in my traderoom.
Thanks
ps how much are you "thinking about selling" yours for? hypothetically, of course!
-
No prob's

I run mine with the rear locked out utilising Junfac adaptors.
Ok, ummmmmmmmm.............. why? If there's a way of putting 4ws on it, doesn't tamiya provide regular 2ws parts? - or are they not man enough?
Next silli q. Looking at your FJ in the showroom, you've got ally ends on the axles - it that a strengthening thing too?
Not having a CR-01 (yet) I feel I should be asking heaps of daft questions now. The really stupid q's will come later

Thanks
Neill

Tes, the intructions indicate how to do it. The rear axle is ready and the kit comes with all the mounting parts etc....
You'll need a servo, a "Y-lead" to go into one chanel on your radio set or a multichanel radioset to have indipendant steering as you might have on a Clod/TLT/TXT crawler.
Excellent. I'm hoping to get a multichannel set so that I can use the rear steer as and when I need.
Thankyou for the quick response.
-
Can the CR-01 be modified to 4 wheel steer without major expense/hours work?
Thanks
-
The incessant flood of bills through the door is forcing me to part with some of my spares as well as my stock of nice hop ups.........

This should be a direct link to see the "thing".

Hi,
That's a "proper" machine! I guess all it need are portal axles & it'll be unstoppable. what's the CofG like?

Shooot me a price on the one that looks new. If possible can see a pic of it please
Hiya,
I've now got a hewge list of stuff that I've just gone through & pictured etc. I'll put up pics as soon as I can. Not really sure how much these are worth though, so I need to do some research - unless I get some unbiased advice.

Neill
-
How much were you looking for?
TBH - as much as possible

I'd sell them seperately, as they seem to span the condition spectrum from, used, to molly coddled.
It's obviously difficult to benchmark them against anything, because I can't find many about for sale, so some unbiased guidance would be helpful.
I would like a deal where both parties feel they've done well. If it seems to be a hassle, I'll just put them on the bay, but would prefer TC guys to get first nibbles.
thanks
-
Hi, It seems I've got two of each.
If someone's after one, let me know. I'm more likely to part with the '02 variants though.
I've got a pile of new bits & plates in a bag for a TA01, and it would be easier to check for completeness from a manual.
-
I've been rooting through the garage & found 3 Technigolds!
One looks mint & unrun, but without a sticker for some reason! - could even have been pulled from a shelf queen (I think it's been fitted).
The second looks healthy & intact
the third looks like it's been run a few times
I've also found a complete retail sheet of 3 brush sets for these.
I will be parting with these if there's interest.

A Novak Goat (or similar) brushless crawler esc/motor combo should give you enough speed/torque to break driveline components on a more regular basis...

Looks nice, but it might have to wait until Santa's around again!
