  1. Sounds good. I have some Vapextech rounded nimh shaped LiPo's but the connection on the end of the battery sticks out a mile and I just couldn't make them fit either.
  2. Paul, I've taken 3 photos of where I dremeled my new built toppy and tagged you on Iconic.
  3. It was a very successful round one for the clubs over the last 2 weekends and it has created a real buzz. I'll be writing up a round summary which will appear in Racer Magazine. We've also introduced a Rally Class which West Bridgford Model Car Club are introducing from their round 2. All the detail is in the photo.
  4. Hello mate. Did you ask this on Iconic or was it someone else? I promised a photo and then forgot. I got the dremel out to make my hard pack fit into my standard TOP-FORCE. It isn't quite centered though which is ok for someone of my level but it might annoy a decent racer such as yourself. There are 4 of us running Toppies in the Iconic series but they're all standard (not Evo). I'm looking forward to seeing you race the Evo hard. That's what it's for after all.
  5. Can easily be converted to Mr Blobby to suit the UK market. I love trying to figure out what Tamiya releases will look like. Same for when the Tumbling Bull was announced. Whatever it is, I'll love it because Tamiya can do nothing wrong in my eyes. It must be a Cute Bear Tractor though surely. Possibly with him sat in a Farm King body or sat on a Tumbling Bull. Would be very cruel to put a cute bear on a Tumbling Bull though coz he won't last long!
  6. Tamiyablog says 'tentative' but it really does look like 58601 will be a WR-02G. A Kumamon Bajon. I love the tractors so, for me, this is good news What do we think then??
  7. the 590's are awash with M, TT, TB. I wonder if they're back filling because they're sorting out some sort of licensing. I reckon it will be another TT-02 or TB-04 then.
  8. A reminder that the next ClumberRcMeet is a week on Sunday. 9th November. Already looking like a fantastic turnout once again.
  9. Finally sorted the August ClumberRcMeet video. A stunning array of vintage loveliness on display! I see such gloom and negativity on some posts elsewhere on this forum. This is proof that vintage RC and RC in general has never been better!
  10. I'm a bit late with this but here's the video from last month's meet.
  11. I see gems every single day on there. It's worth it even if you just set up an anon rc only account.
  12. Facebook is absolutely rammed with vintage collectors and fanatics. No vintage RC crisis; just smart phones and tablets etc and a one stop shop.
  13. There are thousands and thousands of happy RC'ers engaging with each other on Facebook. It's an excellent platform and there are lots of fantastic groups catering for all sorts of RC interests. The platform of choice these days now that so many people use smart phones.
  14. Sorry Craig, I missed this. November and December dates are set in stone, yes. We've something Christmassy planned for the December date
  15. Personally, I'd go on a hunt around your local area. There is usually a little gem of ideal land to have a laugh on. BMX tracks are good too when the kids are at school.
  16. All the photos I took on the day (there are a lot) are now available on dropbox. Send me a direct message and I'll send you the link. Cheers.
  17. The November edition of RC Racer Magazine, which includes the Iconic RC & A1 Racing Revival Report, is now available to buy online, to download and should also be in the shops today.
