  1. Personalised Souvenir 6" x 4" Cards for entrants and helpers. At least 2 pre-cut Buggy Stickers for every entrant too.
  2. I would rename this thread to something like 'London Meet' or 'Home Counties Meet' and try and rally some support. You will need someone very committed though and the main issue is finding land. If you want to use a track for a private hire then it is wise to ensure all attendees have a BRCA license. That is usually the sticking point but BRCA is only £17 from Dec to Dec which is a bargain and then the main (tiny) hurdle is out of the way. If any meets get arranged and I am free, I would love to come. We're lucky to live in a very small country and I personally think no where is too far but I do appreciate fuel costs are high.
  3. Event Decals have arrived. These will be available on the day for entrants to put on their entries.
  4. 4 days left to enter or change entries. Closing date is this Sunday.

  9. This is the best choice hotel now that the Travelodge is full up. It's right in town (great for the Saturday pre-party) and only a 10 minute drive from the track. The Kings Hotel. http://www.thekingshotelgrantham.co.uk/
  10. Revival Pre-Party A few of us will be meeting in Grantham Wetherspoons from 16:00 on the Saturday. The aim is to start early so people can finish early (if they want) because it's an early start on Sunday. The Wetherspoons is right in town and is 3.7 Miles (10 minute cab) from the A1 Travelodge. If you'd like to join us please let me know so I can keep a list going and not leave anyone behind if we decide to move on to another place during the evening. 14. I meant to say. There is no where to put a 'long straight'. There isn't surface suitable enough and we don't take up a large area anyway. I'm really not saying anymore on it because all of this isn't what this thread should be about.
  15. Mark, Steve, cheers chaps. People just don't appreciate the effort or what can be done with the available area and terrain. Track takes time to setup and take down. We have actually changed it for the last 2 meets. I just want to say a massive thank you to the people that turn up at the crack of dawn to help set up and the people that stick around til the end to help take the track down. ClumberRcMeets are amazing and everyone loves them. It's a great group of attendees, we do it all for free and we decide among us (the ones who set up) what we do with the track. The video and turn out says it all really.
  16. The 2nd half of this video showcases the A1 Track with the view from the rostrum. The layout will probably change for the Revival but you'll certainly get the general idea. Hope it helps. http://youtu.be/DhxjmV57DUk
  17. We can't take over a bigger area of the park and I cannot fit any more track into my car. It's fit to burst. We're all happy with the track. A lot of effort goes into it for free. Tons and tons of effort in fact. Everyone that attends and has attended absolutely loves it. I recommend you look into an official BRCA Track to get what you need. J
  18. My video from last weekend's meet. http://youtu.be/UeOgzbK7mVY
  19. Notice for MHz Drivers from Rob at A1: Right revival drivers. A lot of you have booked in for the revival meeting with 27 or 40 mhz radio gear. If you have and you haven't done so already could you please send me which crystals you have so I can put them in the computer. Just send me the colour or number of your crystals that you have e.g. Red, 915 etc. through the enquiry page on the revival website. When you race you will be allocated a specific crystal for that heat so it is important that I have your crystal details so that we can have this sorted and ready and just get on with the racing without having to allocate crystals on the day. http://revival.a1racingclub.com/contact.html
  20. Good question. I know LiPo dudes tend to top up after every stint. Not sure what NiCad and Nimh dudes are planning. If it were me I think I'd just take as many pre-charged as I can.
  21. Make sure you bring a car battery (real car) if you need to charge batteries as power is very limited. If you get really stuck I'm hoping other attendees will help out re charging.
  22. Due to the somewhat unexpected high volume of entries, some of the AM's will be mixed into the PRO's now anyway for the Heats. If you've ever held BRCA then you need to enter PRO anyway and you'll need to renew the BRCA if it has lapsed. This can be done online for £17 or on the day for £17. If you've never held BRCA then you need to enter AM and will be covered as a newcomer. PRO and AM times will all count towards the 1st, 2nd, 3rd for each class and an AM could also make it into the Champions Race. If you look at the awards you'll see that the top AM's get their own trophy. Hope that helps. J
  23. Great videos :-) Highlight for me is the Monster Beetle slow mo.
