  1. Nice one Mark. Brilliant video. I'm just looking at mine to see assess whether to youtube it. Steve, I've got a new name for you by the way. SRBBQ Bloke.
  2. Today was excellent. Such great group of attendees at an excellent track. Great racing and, more importantly, a great laugh. We thought we were in trouble when a storm hit at lunchtime but it soon cleared and we were then treated to warm sunshine and also a BBQ courtesy of SRB Bloke. An absolutely fantastic day out. A big thank you to Smitchos for all the admin. I've put 10 photos into my TC Showroom and there about about 65 photos on IconicRC Facebook. J
  3. There is rumour of a bbq so bring meat! Car loaded and setting of shortly. Steve your TT-02 looks amazing. J
  4. Quality post. Very interesting.
  5. Yeh, I reckon there will be room in the cockpit on Hornets and Hoppers. Cable tied to the driver maybe..
  6. Here's a photo from an Iconic member with a suggestion on how to mount the handout transponder. Same as XV Pilot's suggestion by the looks of it.
  7. Chaps. Please see the previous post for the info you need. Thanks, J
  8. The Handout Transponders. Here's a link to what they are and what they look like. It's the Red ones. http://www.transponderservices.com/buy-mylaps-AMB-club-RC-transponder.html Dimensions: AMBrc Rechargeable Transponder Dimensions : 35 x 31 x 12 mm (approx. 1.4”x1.2”x 0.5”) Weight : 22 g If you don't want to put a hole through the buggy body, you'll need to find a way to secure them very temporarily without sticking them. So to find a way to make use of the bodymount hole or cable tie them etc. J
  9. A note regarding Transponders; after an enquiry. For those without transponders, handout ones will be provided. They need to be handed back after each stint so they need to be fixed firmly into the buggy but also need to be removed again swiftly. The best method to hold them in is through the body because they have a body mount on top. I'm getting the dimensions from A1 and will post them up. Reason for this post is someone wanting to enter a Super Shot. No room inside the chassis for quick removal after each stint. The only place we could think to mount the transponder is under the wing. We'll mailshot all entrants to remind them of this. Personal transponders are expensive (approx £50) so we're expecting quite a few entrants to require the handouts. Dimensions soon. J
  10. Some of us had a chat regarding potential wet track at Snetterton and decided it was wise to take at least 1 buggy. At the last meet, the Bigwigs were excellent around there.
  11. The next ClumberRcMeet is: Sunday 6th July
  12. My video of yesterday's ClumberRcMeet. 15 minutes. It could have been 30(!) but kept it sensible.
  13. Less than 2 weeks to the 2nd SnettertonRcMeet. Cannot wait!! :-)
  14. Yesterday was absolutely awesome. I feel really bad that you couldn't make it, Mark. Such a variety of classic RC on show. Fantastic weather, which was a big surprise. Great laugh. Nice and chilled out. I've uploaded 10 photos to my TC Showroom but they don't do the day justice. 86 photos on my Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/iconicrc/ Sorting out the video today and will post the YT link on here when it's done.
  15. Weather outlook for tomorrow has much improved since this morning. Doesn't look too bad but I'd still prepare for showers.
  16. Turnout should be smaller tomorrow because of the predicted showers so I guess we can chat about particular races once we're all there?
  17. Here is a great map from gingerspice. We meet at the bottom red circle. A1 is top right on the map and that is generally the best route in. If you're coming for the first time, print off that map. You simply must. There is barely any phone signal in the park and the park is MASSIVE.

  19. Ah, memories. I used to live across from Fairlop Waters and played golf there. This was before they had RC so a while back now. Just looked at your Facebook event and you've gathered a good crowd. Should be a great day. Up the Essex!
  20. Nice one Martin. For those not running, there's the opportunity to buy/sell at the RC Autojumble. Also the opportunity to enter the Concourse for Shelf Queens, plus the raffle/tombola etc. Wheelie and Monster races are one-off races so they're an option if you did fancy a quick run but need to be entered online. J
