  1. Steve, there were other entrants suffering from interference issues yesterday (Rich, Liam, The Doc). No one could pin point why but someone did mention it's a good idea not to have Mobile Phones on the rostrum.

One chap had issues in just one corner of the track. Another on another section of the track. It was strange. I've not had this at the Revival and most run GHz at that event to.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know it wasn't just you.

What a fantastic day and well run event. I'll get the Race Report submitted to Racer Magazine asap and will post on here when it's available.

I'll upload all of the photos onto Iconic tonight.

Well done Lee, Simon and SHRCCC.

  2. We have 3 Iconic Meets coming up in 6 days. The first is at West London Racing Centre on this coming Bank Holiday Monday. We then head to West Yorkshire at RC-MSD on Saturday and then the iconic Robin Hood Raceway in North Notts on Sunday. Epic.

Bank Holiday Monday August 31st: West London Racing Centre

    http://www.wlrc.co.uk/

    £5 per attendee. BRCA Required.

Saturday September 5th: RC Model Shop Direct

    http://www.rcmodelshopdirect.com/

£6 per attendee. BRCA Not Required.

Sunday September 6th: Robin Hood Raceway

    http://www.robinhoodraceway.com/

    £5 per attendee. BRCA Required.

  3. I really owt to make the effort and attend one of these - one of them is on more doorstep so no excuse and the Robin Hood raceway looks ace. Off to explore BRCA membership (last time I was a member of that was 1990 !!!!)

I'm going to join the brca. I've been watching the videos and looks a good laugh. Not raced for a few years now. I'll keep an eye out on this thread for the updates. I can see my campervan getting some use !

Simon, A lot of the TC old boys are on Iconic and come to the meets so you'd be in familiar company. BRCA does run from Dec to Dec though so if you pay £17 now you'll only benefit from a couple of meets. A reminder that RC Model Shop Direct and Snetterton Park meets do not require BRCA as both places have their own insurance.

It would be great to see you along to the meets. Drop me an email if you like and I can give you some more info. Our meets are by no means restricted to Iconic Members and the clubs take all of the fees for the day, which are a total bargain!

    John

  4. Revival 2015 raised a grand total of £5,500.00 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

We are very grateful to the support of our Iconic RC members and the many sponsors who came on board to support this event and help us to such a fantastic total.

Across the weekend we had a total of 100 entrants and 268 vintage entries.

There are hundreds of photos already on our facebook group from our members and I'm drip feeding the official albums on to there as well.

Photos can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/iconicrc/photos/

    John.

  5. A Revival 2015 update. (A reminder that Tamiya Club merged the thread for this charity event into the Iconic meets thread)

We've raised £912 so far with some great online raffles for some excellent prizes. With the main event to come in 3 week's time, entry fees will go on top of that £912 and then we have the raffles and tombolas during Revival weekend. We should get to a fantastic total.

We have 78 entrants on 2WD Saturday with 136 entries and we have 73 entrants on 4WD Sunday with 122 entries. It's going to be an epic weekend of vintage RC racing.

  9. £80 was raised towards the Revival 2015 charity fund for Pancreatic Cancer UK at Sunday's Robin Hood Meet. Well done to Mr Skipper for the win and thanks once again to Mr Knight for the generous Knight Customs voucher. :)

  11. Great footage.. Couple of quick cars in that, the buggy at around 3mins, and the Le Man car at 8mins. Who's are they!?

Buggy is a Schumacher CAT 2000 EC and the chap was tested it for the Revival. (I think he might be a trophy contender!)

Le Mans Porsche is a Tamiya 58230.

I don't think either of them are TC members.

Video's very nicely done. Bonus Style Points to the Lunchbox wheelieing over the line at 6:03. B)

    Cheers :-)

  13. How long does it take to process BRCA membership? I might come to WLRC, but not a member, but would join if I decide to come.

Didn't know if it was a pure online purchase, or whether it sends off an email for someone to action manually.

    You register online here: http://www.brca.org/

It costs £17 for December to December and you receive your BRCA number immediately and are able to race.

The actual card arrives in a couple of weeks but you can give the West London Club your number and explain you've just signed up if you don't have the card.
