Can anyone help diagnose the problem Charged up a new Ansmann 1900 Ni-Cd and put it in the Porsche, ran well for about 5mins but then the car would get stuck in fwd/rvs and not allow steering. Is this most likely a fault with the servo/receiver, or just what happens when batts get low in a bec based system. Obviously if it starts doing this with enough speed could end up with an expensive crash. Been a long time since i used these cars so feeling a bit lacking in the knowledge department... Cheers

Just interested to know if anyone ever ran this or the Celica with the more powerful battery? My guide book bangs on about how the Technigold was designed for 8.4v but it was never suggested for the Porsche or Celica. Any thoughts?

OK so i think i am going to get TEU-101BK and a 53068 Sport tuned motor. Sound good? I don't need a resistor right with the 101BK? Do people think i should get a 101BK for the porsche too? Will it work with the technigold? I am so pleased to have the porsche back out, and hopefully running again. After i got my hornet i lusted that porsche so so badly and must have nagged my folks a lot to finally get one. Don't know why i stopped using it really, prob had a big crash and couldn't afford to fix it! I can't believe Tamiya won't do a re-re soon. They would rake it in! Thanks for the advice so far, any other people's opinions really really welcome!

SO i have unearthed my old cars to get them ready to use with my nephew. Would be keen for any advice Club members can give. Hornet Speed controller is only working fast fwd/rvs no slow or medium speeds. I have taken it off checked the contacts and given a good clean and taken it apart, can't work out where the fault is most likely to be... any ideas? Trying to buy a new body shell...this should be straight forward as it was re-released...correct? The receiver aerial has had its rubber stripped in a place and many of the wires there are broken - do i need a new receiver? If i plan on running it for fun, what tune ups should i get? What esc would i need for my futaba FP-T2NCR or NBR transmitters? Should i get a new motor? What would work? Any other advice??? Porsche 959 I have bought a new resistor. I am planning on buying the aluminium r parts from homerboi I plan to run the car a fair bit any other advice. I have the rally spike tyres in good condition. Will they be nigh on impossible to replace. Should i keep them and run something else - at the moment it has slicks on... Should i get an esc? Which one? Any other advice from regular runners? What power batt should i get? Thanks guys!!!
