They are great looking wheels and would look good if I was doing the body the same sort of colour but I'm going with box art and dont think these would look right somehow! And yes I know box art is seen as boring but the KC is the only box art I like and I think it suits it! May have to go with stadium blitzer wheels and some proline mulcher tyres I think! Cheers Rich

Tidying Up A Lexan Shell Is It Possible?
Brooklyn Nights replied to Brooklyn Nights's topic in General discussions
Any reason you do this or is it just easier to do? Would that be polycarbonate paint or acrylic? It may work looking at it... If I find a suitable removing agent what I was going to do was just remove say...2cm either side and redo one colour using some tamiya masking tape to get a clean line then once thats done do the other colour. Cant really use a decal as I`m trying to keep it original. Cheers Rich -
Body Posts For Ta-01 To Fit Tl-01 Bodys
Brooklyn Nights replied to fetch's topic in General discussions
All you need is longer screws and something to use as spacers to push the mounts back to the right size, which is all I did on my ta01 to mount the tt01 lancia delta body shell thats now on it! Cheers Rich -

Tidying Up A Lexan Shell Is It Possible?
Brooklyn Nights replied to Brooklyn Nights's topic in General discussions
Unfortunately thats not an option as I only want really tiny amounts taken off so it seems removing all the paint to do that would be a pointless exercise, but thanks for the tip. Cheers Rich -
Hi Does anyone know if it is possible to remove paint from a lexan shell? Dont want to remove all the paint! I have an old celica shell but it has two colours painted inside and where they meet the line is poor to say the least! Also I want to paint the window frames black but the body colour overlaps in places so I would need to remove the paint first. Cheers Rich

I've seen a pair for £38 on ebay uk but thats just daft money I think for a basher. Ok if it was for a shelf queen I guess to keep it original! I not only need tyres for my KC but wheels too! So again if anyone knows where I can get some looky likes of the originals then I'd be grateful! Failing that what are my options on wheels/tyres? I know king blackfoot wheels fit but not keen on the red and dont really want to have to paint and keep touching the paint up on the wheels after a bash! Any thoughts on a hop up motor too? Cheers Rich

Thanks for that. Its been so long since I painted my KC that I`d forgotten that the original had that stamped between the rear post holes! I`ve searched ebay for teambluegroove and found nothing but I am in the uk so maybe thats why?! Any links to them? Also do you know if the pin spike tyres are still avialable or something close to them? The basher I have needs new shoes as the lunchbox style ones on now are shot and I`d like to at least try and get it to look right even for a basher!! Cheers Rich

Hi just wondered how to tell the difference between the two shells and which looks the best? Also are the repro's easy to get hold of? I have two KC's one is a shelf queen with original everything and I have a basher but no shell so thinking of getting one. Any info or comments? (polite only please! ) Cheers Rich

Actually not true.... You cant print it "any size" because the number of dpi wont alloy you to do that as if too small it will look squashed and too big it will look blocky so they have to be the correct size. If you look at the ones on ebay then what I will be doing will be better and cost less than people are charging for repro and originals! So I know I can sell them either here or there! What annoys me is that for genuine fans of these models, like me, people are ripping them off left right and centre with prices that do not add up to the cost of making then. This is why I will offer them on here first! I'm not out to make a profit even though I can do elsewhere! So your comment of acting "butt hurt" when I'm trying to sell something is a joke to me! :D Cheers Rich

Given that these are A3 poster size thats not really an option unless you have a printer that prints A3 posters. Also taking it to a printer for a one off job would cost more than I would have priced them at and therefor would hardly be cost effective. Still I guess thats what you get when you try and help others out eh. Cheers Rich

Ok hint taken. I'll just keep them to myself then! Cheers Rich

Yes thats true but I'm also sure some people like to have these on display too! May be possible to have these posters laminated to protect them! Maybe other things can be done too such as mouse mats etc? I'm open to ideas here! Cheers Rich

What Will Be The Future "rare" Models?
Brooklyn Nights replied to Brooklyn Nights's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I dont really see any re re being an investment. In my opinion it will only be originals that could be for those who think this way about their models. For me its more about enjoyment. Cheers Rich -

Was that the truck with "commando" or something like that in its name? Cheers Rich -
Hi all. Just wondered what your thoughts are on the models that will be the next rare or hard to find parts for must haves! In my opinion there are some later models out now that are getting harder to source parts for like the Volvo 850 body parts and the Toyota Celica GT four wheels that I have recently looked for. Any of you found any items you consider hard to find and could be the next 959 rear arms? Cheers Rich
