  1. Finished up the body and paintwork.... pics..... i gave it abit more lift.... comments welcome......
  2. Wouldn't it be easier juz to get a DT02 buggy shell n cover it. I did that for my DF03Ra,fit nicely n neatly. Refer to this http://tamiyablog.com/2010/09/dusty-holiday/
  3. Thanks twinset for the help. Forgot to mention this earlier.... The shocks im using comes from my other buggy, DB-01. I believe standard DT-02 shock should also work. Thanks Andy for reminding me.
  4. It might easier/possible..... Anyone willing to try it out?
  5. TT drive shaft might work, but you will have problem w e dogbones length..... I dun have any TT drive shaft dogbones laying ard to try out Its possible to use the srb wheels n tyres, juz change the rear drive axles to those found on the rere-frog,brat,grasshopper..... Look to 101 for the mod instruction
  6. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...6&sid=31105 W reference to mi showroom, i have sand down, primed, sand down, primed, color, sand dowm, primed, color it....... But it will still peel.....
  7. There's a slight differ to 101, they are using the hard to find original wheels n tires, rere frog/brat rear axles to go along w it, cutting down the front lower arm, changing the shock tower...... Mi idea is to reduce the width while using back as much stock parts as possible.
  8. Its a shelfer..... The paint WILL peel off.... Its already peeling @ the top @ e clip area. I used normal spray paint for the color. Thanks for the comments guys
  9. The Photos after the mods.
  10. Bevel gears, cups, dogbones: Because we have narrowed down the width, the stock dogbones and cups cant be used anymore. This is what i have done to changed and make everything work Firstly, if you have already fix up the HB2010, too bad, you have to remove it to access the gears... For those who is only starting the build,do this 1st to ease the mod. Stock HB 2010 gears Change the stock bevel gear to splined bevel gear (bottom stock, top new) You can get these from either DT-02, DF-03, TL-01 spare parts, Stock cups compare with new cups Install back as per normal, for the dogbones, u will need 48mm length
  11. Rear End: (before you do this, change the bevel gear, cups and dogbones first) Remove the lower and upper arms, shocks like the front End Next, use E1 of the DF03Ra suspension arm Noted the direction Install the rear upright,at the top, install a 5mm ball connector nut with 3x16mm screw, as shown Because the DF03Ra arm is shorter, you will need to drill a hole as shown for the screw to pass thru. Up to now, you might have noticed then my cups have been changed, detail of that will be cover later. Using a 3x18mm threaded shaft,5mm adjuster,5mm ball connector nut and a 18mm screw, install as shown Install the stock shock as shown Do the same for the other side.
  12. Front end: Original Remove everything out, the lower arm, upper arm, shock, Using E2 of the DF03Ra suspension arm 1 x 5mm ball connector And get this Fix back the new arm using the stock screw Next, the new upper arm, Uses 2 x 5mm ball connector nut, 1 x 18mm threaded shaft, 2 x 5mm adjuster, 1 x 16mm screw, 1 x 18mm screw Fix up as shown Next the existing upright, fix its back and add 1 x 3mm spacer and 1 x 1.5mm spacer to the side Connect back the upper arm to the upright Next, the shock, using a 5mm ball connector, fix it back to the tower, using the existing position and install back the shock Do the same on the other side For the steering arm, uses back the shorter existing arm, the other side, uses a 42mm threaded shaft, 5mm adjuster, and measure till you get 28.5mm
  13. Firstly, this is how the HB2010 look like when i first build it And this is how it look like it now Parts that you need to do this mod: DF03Ra E part (suspension arm) 51367 x 2 3x18mm threaded shaft x 4pcs 5mm Adjuster x 8pcs (54257) 3x42mm threaded shaft x 1pc (44025) 3x16mm threaded screws x4pcs 3x18mm threaded screws x 4pcs 5mm ball connector x 4pcs 5mm ball connector nut x 8pcs Spacer 3mm x 2pcs Spacer 1.5mm x 2pcs Splined bevel gears 48mm dogbones

  15. not really sure to put Highlift here in the thread but there isnt any other thread..... anyway...here's the story.... got the Tundra some time ago but never build it..... recently then decided to start the build..... pixs will take over words now parts laid out 50% completed... with stock wheel with 2.2 wheels... rubbing the body and problem with running board lifted axles to clear the body and running board how the lifted was achieved.... Shocks has to be spaced out thats all for the time being.... i still got a rebuild of a vintage mountaineer on-going which will be posted in another new thread Thanks for viewing..... Des
  16. Congrats to the winner.....
  17. Hi guys, Need some help with regards to doing a restoration project for my mountaineer.... Having to stripped down the whole chassis,i found some wore out screws, rusty screws....you get the idea.... Question is, must i use back all the old screws or can i change them to modern hex screws? Would doing that hurt the value of the vintage? Thanks,

  20. it was sent via TNT Post. Global Pack was the type of postage the seller used. The site i used to track the item is www.tracktrace.nl The seller had gone to the Post office and file an enquiry about the item but nothing came up. i cant contact or email TNT Post to enquiry too...... So i should ask the seller to directly call up the TNT Post and find out who is the shipping company and enquire about it? i am rather puzzled that the Post office cant find out who they had engaged to do the shipping and get them to track the item
  21. i tried another site too.... still have the same result....
  22. Seller has filed a formal enquiry with the netherlands post office,n that was abt two months back,no updates on that too
