Where Would You Run What? (The "Suitable" Chassis)

When I had my monster beetle, it stayed in the trunk of my Oldsmobile. See a fun place? Stop, charge, play. -
Where Would You Run What? (The "Suitable" Chassis)

Hence my gravitation towards monsters -
Seems that all the Tamiya monsters were based on real trucks. Exactly which ones can be debated, though
-
Double the speed takes 4 times the power. Never mind the wheel speed of an rc at 200

I'm leaning towards a scratch build. some pieced together nonsense

This is why I usually stick to monster trucks. But were I to get a "not meant for that kind of driving" comment, I'd be hard pressed to avoid responding without a lot of asterisks -
A quick Google search for "mad max fury road vehicles" will give you all the inspiration you need for an apocalypse vehicle
-
If a zombie apocalypse was to happen, I'd think your best best would be a bicycle and a baseball bat or machete. How long would fuel exist? How long would guns be usable?

That's just R-O-N-G

For me, the fun is designing a new build. Problem solving, finding the right parts. My first hobby grade was a Monster Beetle in 1987. You had to build it. That's how I started. Hop ups were either non existent, or too expensive. Then came the T Maxx, and all of rc changed. I love what Traxxas has done for the industry, but I hate that everything is so easy to come by now. I used to think it was a case of builders versus rtr owners. But it's not that. I see the line as folks that maintain their stuff versus the folks that take their junk to the lhs for repairs.

I'm really liking the way you folks are thinking. Cause I've long had a fascination with juxtaposed vehicles (Lunchbox done as a General Lee) the gears be turnin.

Electric motor driven, gas/nitro engine driven, or rocket/jet powered... doesn't matter to me. Just being able to control it is impressive in my book. And why they have different classes in land speed racing
-
Watched a show about a guy who was going for a land speed record on a motorcycle. In testing, they found that at a certain speed, steering is reversed. And then later, at a higher speed, it reverts back to normal.

Not to be a pain, but armor clad and zombie apocalypse are awful close to the same thing. Or is armor clad supposed to be more of a military theme?

So... not on tapatalk?

Sorry to sound like such a noob, but where is the poll?

Pat yourselves on the back everybody...

That's why I get pretty much all my rc info from this site and a particular rc monster truck forum. -
Would a vehicle from YouTube video fame count as movie/TV?
-
I haven't learned any new tricks in a long time. I LIKE that one
-
Apocalypse sounds good. So does movie/tv. I've got ideas for a lunchbox and can go either way with it. But I'd prefer the apocalypse/zombie theme.
-
I've seen that trick. But on my G Made shocks, the ball link goes all the way up to the end of the threads

For it to be a lowrider, it must be very very low.

There are I think 3 different tire choices, but the tires and rims are specific to each other. The outside face has a false sidewall that fakes a taller profile.
