  1. every other mini chassis manufacturer sticks to the 210mm wheelbase, which is why there's loads of 210mm bodies.

Always found RCMart lists the biggest selection of mini bodies. An awful lot of them are too low to fit over an M03 as they are made for the 4wd and pan car mini chassis, but they should go on an M05 no problem.

    Cheers Terry :)

  2. don't bag it before you try it but extra weight can be an advantage in mini racing

try leadding your m03 out to about 1350-1400g, add it at the front inside the bumper, gearbox cavities or under battery

    then check your laptimes... ;-)

    Lead in the front?

I thought that it would be better leading the rear??

  3. The talk of tyres from you guy is both very interesting but also worrying.

I cant really afford to buy numerous different tyres just to see which works at the end of the day, the 118's seem to be the most reliable from what I can gather?

When you guys talk about scrubbing your tyres in, are you refering to taking the shiny surface off the tyres from brand new, or at the beginning if every meeting?

    Thanks

  4. Wow, see, im learning every time I come on this forum ;)

Now, im glad you mentioned lead weight. I will be running a very light YR 3200 lipo in the 03L. Now, do I add lead to the LiPo to weight it upto a NiMh weight, leave the LiPo as is and add the weight to the hollow part of the rear chassis, or a combination of both?

I know that alot of guys are saying that even with NiMh's they are suffering with too little grip on the rear, but would then adding lead to the back and keeping the middle light not help that?

    Thanks again

  5. All this chitter chatter about CofG, does it really make a difference on a slow Mini with a massive shell on??

I know that in theory it will make a difference, but can anyone really feel it on the track?

I know in the Micro fraternity we all strive to get our ESC's down low, lower the CofG etc etc, but in all fairness ive never noticed a difference myself.

    Any thoughts?

  6. Hi all,

Have read through this thread and gleen a lot of useful information from it so far, thanks!

I have just bought myself and 'wifey' a new M03L each to play with at the Worcester RC club that has been mentioned before within this thread.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a cheap, yet long lasting tyre and insert combo for indoors (carpet with additive)??

Im not really fussed about "pushing for podiums", im more after some fun that isnt going to cost me a new set of tyres every fortnight!

Also, do you guys glue the tyres to the rims or not? From what ive read I couldnt figure out whether you are or not.

    Thanks in advance

    Cris
