  2. For Sale... Link to my showroom post... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=119944&id=31334 Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle featuring Wild Willy... Fast Attack Willy This has been built by me, and is based on the Tamiya re-release Fast Attack Vehicle, kit no.58496. The idea was to build a Wild Willy M38 themed FAV. So basically this is a FAV with lots of nods to the Wild Willy M38, including; all-round Padlatraks (fronts by SRB Bloke), winch, jerry can, NOS bottle, fuel cell, roll bar foam and spot-lights, fire extinguisher, spare wheel (including a spare wheel), and of course Willy himself at the wheel. The model has been run once on a sandy beach, for the purpose of taking the showroom photos. It has been cleaned but there is evidence of sand in the model. It includes an acoms steering servo and Axial 55T motor, both of which were new when they were put in the model and therefore have only been used the once. No other electrics are included. The model is ballraced, includes the Tamiya FAV hop-up aluminium damper set and has Axial bucket lights (the lights are for display and do not function) Included also is the kit instruction manual, bespoke Fast Attack Willy decal sheet, Kit decal sheet, various USED kit parts, ie. front and rear suspension, the lights (one of the light mounts is missing). Please note that some of the kit parts have been used/painted and therefore are not as new. There is visible evidence of use where the ESC wires have rubbed away some of the chassis paint. Additional photos can be sent on request. £550 ovno, including UK Postage & paypal fees Postage overseas - please contact me for a price.

  5. Thought I ought to get involved... This little fella will become Weapons Technician Willy
  6. I contacted others and got nowhere, then I tried Freqeskinz and the service and product was first class. Ask for Neal; Highly recomended!
  7. Fast Attack Willy... Baron Wilhelm Maximus Von Willy, aka The Red Baron, DT-02 challenger...
  8. This idea I like . It's a competition any member can enter; Bravo!
  9. My biggest concern ahead of the DT-02 challenge was erecting the Gazeebo and not looking like a fool in the process. As it turned out it went up fine, and the biggest problem I had on arrival was deciding where to park; I didn't see anyone laughing. Hoping to come along to one of these meets, probably in the spring maybe sooner, we'll see. Clumber park is about two hours from me so do-able in a day.
  10. Super video John, thank you for taking the time to film it and pull it altogether.
  11. Excellent write up, a very good read.
  12. My brother-in-law came down to spectate. He wasnt into RC but he was so taken with the whole event I am ordering him a HB tomorrow; he's dead keen to get involved and have a go next year. Add to that, we will be entering a second stock HB next year to go with the one my son raced this year. So there's an additional two cars
  13. Just got home and what a super day out we had, absolutely awesome. Once again a big thanks to Lee, Simon and John for all their efforts! Looking forward to next year already.
  14. Nice one Mrs SRB Bloke! Well the car is loaded (MPV not DT-02) and we are ready to roll. Will be travelling down tomorrow evening and staying with family in Surrey, school reunion on Saturday and the highlight of the weekend on Sunday. Can't make the pub Saturday, but hope you all have a good evening for those going! Hoping to get to the track for 8am. Looking forward to it.
  15. Finally got this finished ready for the 29th. Showroom pics to follow next week as we are going away this weekend. Actually I am supposed to be packing right now ...
  16. Best to check with them (I could be mistaken), but I am sure J Weston and Super Gripper have those shocks on their DT-02s.
  17. I am planning on bringing a 3x3 Gazeebo just in case the weather lets us down. If anyone wants to pit with us there will be plenty of space to share etc.
  18. There's a thread heare about posting pictures; http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67112 The process is a bit long-winded to start with, i.e. you need a photobucket (or similar) account, but like most things ok once you get into the swing of it.
  19. I'm travelling from the North on Saturday and staying with family in Surrey on the night, and will travel to the track Sunday morning. So unfortunately I can't make it but it does sound like a cracking evening. :-)
  20. This is great news, and the day is really shaping up to be quite an event; well done and big thanks to Lee and Simon. Just over three weeks to go and I feel like a child waiting for Christmas morning...
  21. And what a good excuse it is...just need to get building now.
