  1. You could drill out the grub screw, but that could be very tricky with the motor in that position.

    The other option is to carefully lever or pull the pinion off. Once off there will be no tension on the grub screw & it should unscrew alowing you to fit a new one.

    I've had to do this before myself. If you are carefull you wont damage anything.

  2. I have both the Javelin & Scorpion remakes. Fantastic to drive superb & build quality. I fitted the belt drive when building the Javelin, although chain drives are great for nostalgia the belt is much better for running.

  3. The raider was my second RC back in the 80's. I've also got a RS500 on the shelf (identical to the raider). Sounds like the previous owner has made the not so good raider steering even worse. Putting it back to manual spec would be a start.

    The stock servo saver is terrible. I'm sure with a aftermarket servo saver & some decent ball end links the set up could be greatly improved.
