  1. MMmm nice. What wheels have you added to the beastie then, they look ace. I guess the decals are available somewhere then to add to an original Ray body? P
  2. Hi, nice buggy you have there. I must admit the Super Manta Ray is new to me - is this a customised normal Manta Ray or something Tamiya produced themselves? Cheers, P
  3. I've always thought the Hotshot would look good in British Racing Green, perhaps with the addition of a few strategically placed union jacks?
  4. Thanks, I don't think we are supposed to post links to live auctions (unless they are your own), but those are the kind of cars I'm talking about!
  5. Hi If you look in the member review section for this model, you'll see that there are imitations out there. I'm always on the look out on eBay and other sites for a Supershot project. I recall seeing pictures of the fakes in the past and could do with these as a reference again. The money these cars go for now is pretty serious, and wasting it on a knock off would be a p****r to say the least. P
  6. Morning all, I know that I saw some pictures on TC somewhere of the knock-off Supershot's that occasionally surface - does any kind soul know where these might be before I buy a lemon! Cheers, P
  7. It's hard to see them selling enough if that was the RRP. This would only ever appeal to the likes of us, and how many would pay 500 quid for the privelege of a re-release? It can't be many, and it doesn't include me! I'd have thought 300 tops, so could they do it for that amount? Out of interest, does anyone have any sales figures on the re-re's? I imagine the volume of some cars sold is huge, but what of the niche / specialist cars? P
  8. Guys On my quest for front drive shafts, can anyone tell me which bit of the kit these came in. I thought it was blister pack A, but can't find any to check. I thought I might have more luck searching for this than the individual part number? And if anyone has one spare front shaft, I'd be inerested of course! P
  9. According to one thread on here recently, yes: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57583 P
  10. I would have thought this unlikely with such a similar product on the market. If they are struggling to shift Buggy Champs, would they really sell enough WW1s? P
  11. OK thanks for the help! Glad it's not my IT skills leting me down as usual! P
  12. Can some kind soul have a look in 'My Comments' page and see if you can see any, as there should be five there now, and the page is still blank! Mods - any suggestions? P
  13. I've found it, SO COOL: m0torhed's showroom Now these are the buggies of my youth! P
  14. All Some time back I know I came across a photo in someone's showroom of all 6 shot series cars (HS1, HS2, SS, BW, B & SS) together. I can't find it now and would like to add it to my favourites. The cars were all lined up outside, and may have been in Aus/NZ. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers, P
  15. OK thanks all, sounds like I'll have a search on my hands for this part! Paul
  16. All My hotshot 1 (original) lacks a front drive shaft. Does anyone know the specific part number for this? And where I mught find one? I beleive the ones from the re-re are diffent, and won't fit - but I might be wrong! P
  17. Well done, you've done a great job there. Neat electrics set up, but how long will the tread on the tyres last if you run her hard? However, this vehicle just needs to be driven and enjoyed. Perhaps a spare runner shell is called for? P
  18. Afternoon all, I've left a few comments for other members, and some of these have been approved by them and subsequently appeared for all to see. However, nothing's appearing in 'My Comments'. Any ideas why this might be, and why it says "(there are currently 2 models)" under the empty Comments left for others box?? P
  19. Mornin all If you are restoring an old car, with no real intention of running it (i.e. a shelfer), do people tend to fit vintage electrics or not? I guess if the intention is to build the kit as Mr T intended, you kinda need the receiver, 2nd servo etc. But if it's not going to run...? Also, if you do fit the electrics should they be a) period and working? P
  20. Evenin all, I need some servo saver parts for a Hornet I'm putting together, and wondered if any other models have compatible parts? Trying to reduce build costs you see, and I notice that dark impact parts are cheaper on the bay. Cheers Paul
  21. Washing up liquid was fairly useless for me. You get more off just by scrubbing with old toothbrushes. Assume some of the more caustic stuff mentioned above might be better, though some of the ground in pinion dust might never shift from old white plastic gears? P
  22. OK guys, these did fit on the Bear HAwk in my show room, but they need hardening up. Can anyone recommend me a suitble weight of shock oil to support the BH's ample rump with a Sports Tuned finished? Cheers, Paul
  23. OK cheers Lars, that does make sense! At least it wasn't something I was doing wrong this time! P
  24. I'm trying to add an avatar, and I get the following error message: The file you requested to upload was greater than the limit the administrator has set for your group. I thought the software resized images, so am rather confused? P
