Hi all, Please forgive my considerable ignorance, I can see that the front shocks are attached at the top with supershot shock mounts (?), but what about at the bottom? Can you post pictures of the lower part of the front shocks to show what parts are required to attach it to the lower arms and where. Hello again igbandy, as you said the 18 T pinion works just fine, have'nt tried the 19T yet. I have just started using a Mabuchi RS540 Sport tuned in the Yokomo YZ 10. I am currently working on some mods and also, are there any wheel adaptors so I can use regular wheels & Tires such as the ones on a Boomerang or more recent wheels? is there anywhere I can download any copies of the manual? No glitching from the radio, I am using a Futaba 4VWD, using only a 2 channel Futaba receiver. By the way I changed the car to rear wheel drive only, and the heat problems went away, but the rear wheels had very poor grip and the car was basically skidding all over the place....too much wheel spin if you ask me. Obviously a car balanced for 4 wheel drive is not going to do too well with rear wheel drive. Anyway that narrows down things a little and focuses on the cr@ppy dogbone axel arrangement. next order of things some decent universal joints! Thanks for your advice, Anand

Thanks for the reply, For now I am limiting the downward travel of arms by putting a spacer (foam tape) on the area that limits the upper arm from going down. Also I am experimenting with removing the front dog bones altogether, as well as the transmission drive shaft that leads to the front gear box, thereby converting it to a Rear wheel drive only! lets see if that throws up anything! The rear suspension has vibration too but not as much as the front. I will post my observations tomorrow, Thanks, Anand

Hi Kyosho1, I just tried this after I read your post! The wide rear wheels on the Boomerang do NOT fit the front suspension. The problem is not the suspension itself but the front uprights, where, the portion where the steering link is attached is binding and preventing the wheel from rotating, that too, with the wheel retaining nut barely tightened half way. Why would you want to put the rear wheels in the front anyway? why not get adapters to put in wider wheels? Anand

Hello Jonny555 & TA-Mark, the drivetrain is smooth so long as the front arms don't hang down to their lowest point, if they hang down to their fullest extent, then their is a lot of vibration. I can see that the up down motion is due to the inadequate angle of the axles with the dogbones. The pinion sits with just enough pressure as this is regulated by metal spacers (flat bars) and I am following the manual. I will do what you say as far as going back to the smaller pinion, and will order even smaller ones soon. The car is equipped with bearings throughout except on the outside of each wheel. Hello all, I am using a stock RS540s motor in my Boomerang Re- release, initially I used the 13T pinion which was getting my motor very very hot. Less than "1/2 a second with finger on the motor hot!" Now I have changed the pinion to the 15t, but while the top speed has increased a bit, low end torque is poor, but the motor continues to get as hot. I am running an Ansmann 7.2V, 4500mAh battery of the standard Tamiya TEU-101Bk ESC. Run times are like 20 to 25 minutes with "front yard bashing". Is this heat normal or am I doing something wrong? Also there is excessive vibration in the front arms which I attribute to poor dogbone-cup axel design, is it possible there is too much load on the motor due to friction? Anand

Hello all, Just wanted to vent , I had bought two Ansmann Racing 7.2V 4500 mAh NIMH batteries recently from Stargek Singapore. Right from the first charge, it appeared that one of them was not charging fully as the charger indicated as if the battery was already full, also when discharging, the rc car would not go at its full speed. Just today while trying to recharge, just one of the cells was getting far hotter than the others which were not even warm about 10 minutes into the recharge. Looks like a bad cell, the other battery seems to be doing fine. So my search is on for some decent 7.2V Batteries. Know any good cheap ones? Thanks, Anand

Hello all, I have an old Yokomo YZ 10 from 1993 that needs a manual so that I can find and order some parts. Apart from that, I misplaced the motor that it came with while moving houses and none of my Tamiya motor pinions seem to mesh with the spur gear. Now I am not an engineer and don't have a clue as what the "pitch" is or how many teeth the pinion had , or if a pinion came with the car kit at all. All I can say is that the spur gear has 81 teeth (it has 81T on the side). Can any of the experts help out a confused fellow? Thanks, Anand

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen, this is my first post on this forum which I have been following for a few weeks now. I recently visited Singapore and went to Stargek and bought a Boomerang re release! I had wanted one since I was a kid, but never had the chance and so this. I had great fun building it and bashing it in my front yard. I had orginally wanted a Hotshot, but these seem to be out of stock most places including some on line stores. While Stargek had an RTR hotshot, I am primarily interested in the kit because I love putting these together. Anyway, I had also ordered the RC Channel front suspension, which was to be fitted to the Hotshot. Now that my Hotshot may take a few more weeks to come, I put the front suspension and shocks on the Boomerang! I am neither a good photographer nor very skilled at RC/Building kits but i just love it and have been dabbling in it as long as I can remember . Anand
