  1. Well said @BuggyDad. @Willy iine absolutely fits into the community. His contributions and content is outstanding and I enjoy reading and seeing his updates. My post was just trying to highlight the difference between the Forum and the Main Site.
  2. Check out JC Racing for wheel options
  3. I’m certain he’s a member here, maybe even liking some of the posts above
  4. I don't think that is the case at all, Subscribers are what keep TamiyaClub operating. The Mainsite is for subscribers, who have their own showrooms, and a couple times a year, photo competitions are put up on there. This forum site, is actually completely seperate (although linked obviously) with seperate log ins as well
  5. @Sillyoldfox are those stickers from MCI?
  6. Gave the 2 good hubs a clean and polish, then started assembling the front end I’m at a standstill now waiting for new hubs and rear uprights which are showing a Feb arrival .
  7. JC Racing 2.2 Lightweights? https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/tamiya/astute
  8. The kit specific lower bulk head parts are impossible to find, and although there is a 3D printed option, I decided to research other Yokomo parts, and found that ZS-300RTG (For the MR4-TC) bulk head parts are very very similar. I was able to locate NIP parts locally (again) so grabbed them today. The upper bulkhead part is identical to the 2 I already sourced, so now I have 3. These new parts are carbon reinforced which is a bonus. But…….the RHS is slightly different. The circled bit in the pic below will interfere with the slipper assembly, so a grabbed the dremel to remove it. Will tidy it up a bit, but now the parts will work fine. I’ve also started assembly of front and rear diff’s and the slipper assembly Using all new bearings What I found interesting with building the diffs, is that the diff screw has a deliberate bend in it, thus making it quite rare, if push came to shove, I’m sure a normal screw could be bent in a similar fashion
  9. @Re-Bugged From memory the GH always had that style of rear pivot, the Hornet and CW-01 were upgraded with “Independent Rear Suspension”. The mods that @Yoshisaur has made above will create the independent rear suspension.
  10. Automotive polish and some elbow grease and this is as good as it will get, I think once all the components and electronics are fitted it will be fine. The underside is really nice Cleaned up the wheels, and dug through my vintage tyres stash looking for some 2.2’s and came across these Trinity’s. I dont know anything about them, but think they are probably a bit older than around 97, but for now they will do for these wheels Something I didn't notice on disassembly is one of the rear bulkhead lower pieces is broken , so I’ll have to source a replacement option. What annoy’s me is I’ve already sourced 2 of the upper bulkhead pieces, and if I find the lowers I need, they come with the upper piece as well, so will have expensive rare bits that I wont use
  11. Couple small deliveries, 1 from Aus and 1 from Jpn via buyee Reproduction Carbon Shock towers from BezerkRC and a Spur gear Getting closer to assembly
  12. I will be doing this in 2024 without doubt
  13. ^^WOW - Not many NIB GB-03 Hotshot’s around these day’s I’d suggest. Great find @bRIBEGuy
  14. I have considered going down the clear coat route, unfortunately the uneven area will remain. I might try the polish first, depending on that result, I may give it a good clean with Metho and spray it with clear acrylic
  15. I held a mate’s M17 while warming up his Nitro buggy at last year’s Asian Buggy Championships, and proceeded to order one through my LHS the very next week, It was a nice upgrade from my M12S RS. The most comfortable transmitter I’ve ever held, I absolutely love it
  16. So, the chassis plate had electronics CA glued into place (I’ve never understood why someone would do this ) I managed to remove the CA by using a shop towel soaked in acetone and a clipseal bag. The CA wiped away cleanly, but it exposed some damage underneath the CA, assuming the installer ‘roughed’ up the chassis to help with adhesion? Anyway it is what it is, I’ve tried to flatten it with some wet sanding, but cant really go any further as the fibres will be exposed. The new electronics and double sided tape will cover most of the damage anyway, but still a little bummed by it. Going to pick up some car polish today to give it a shine up. Heres some pics of some restored parts, ready for assembly Upon disassembly, discovering hubs that looked like this wasn’t very pretty , so a NIP pair have been found and ordered Having these printed out has certainly helped with determining what was required
  17. Thanks Ken, I tried the same via https, but still not getting the reset email
  18. I’ve been searching all over for parts, and have found some that I need, albeit with very expensive shipping from both USA and Canada. Anyway, these things must be done so those parts have all been ordered and recieved This ^ pic includes parts that I’ve already restored that are off the original car, the MIP CVD’s are absolutely mint in gold, plus other alloy bits that have been polished up My biggest issue was going to be the remaining slipper assembly parts being Spur gear, inner and outer slipper plates. I happened to find a spur via buyee, and that is enroute to me currently, but the inner and outer plates were proving to be impossible to locate. I happened to search the LHS again and some more parts that I could use appeared, dunno if I searched differently last time or what, but these parts were needed too so I popped down there again. The fella bought out the box of era correct Yokomo parts and said start looking. I found the bits I needed, and was putting parts back in when I spotted something that looked familiar, and then spotted another part. Lo and behold, the inner and outer slipper plates were there, right in front of me!!! I was certain I was going to need them to be machined which was making my head hurt, but instead, here they were, feel like I won the jackpot Once the spur arrives, I will have all the parts for the slipper assembly here’s the rest of the haul from my 2nd trip
  19. I managed to download a manual and parts list, and started the task of determining what was missing from the buggy. The complete rear diff and bulkhead were obvious, as with most of slipper assembly. One of my LHS’s used to distribute Yokomo back in this era, so I searched for parts via their online store. Unfortunately only a few parts showed as being available, so I went and picked them up (took a while for the owner to find the bits). Next best bit was he gave me 30% off as its old stock. Here’s what I picked up: And this is what I came with the buggy for the slipper assembly - the 2 pulleys and centre shaft with bearings. Its a start atleast.
  20. I’ve had this car for a number of years, It was given to me by the same guy who gave me the Traxxas Bullet that is documented earlier in this thread. It was missing quite a few parts, so I just placed it in a box and almost forgot about it. Fast forward to 2023 and Yokomo finally announcing the 870c and it motivated me to research this car and start the elusive parts chase (More on this later). Anyway, here’s what I’m starting with:
  21. Simple answer is yes, no mods required
  22. @F-150 Have fun with that, and without telling you what to do, make sure you use some air filter oil on that little foam filter
