Bangkok planned Tamiya shopping spree advice needed
BangkokBulldog replied to AndyjcClod's topic in General discussions
Hi Andy, Let me know exactly what you're after and I'll get prices for you from a few shops that I use. Sorry for the delay, Steve -
Too many breakages to mention. Notable ones are my first RC, a Tamiya Lamborghini Cheetah that I steered into the path of my mates Raleigh Chopper in 1981. Second was my Tamiya Grasshopper around 1984 that I hopped up to be a Hornet and made the fatal error of installing a Technigold motor. A rather unsuccessful jump caused the chassis to snap in half. Since then a few touring car and F1 mishaps mostly in the last couple of years.

Chris was right, the replacement body also had the swirls in the same place. Just painted and looks fine. Now for stickers and clear coat. -

Well aware of mass manufacturing techniques and the 'marks' are imperfections. Swirls and slight marks are normal in black ABS, but these 'cracks' are not. They are visible through to the inside of the body and would need a fine filler to solve the issue. New body on its way. -

Driver tree is white, only differences between the original GH and the black edition are, wheels, body, springs and stickers ( from what I've seen anyway ) -

I picked my Grasshopper Black Edition up yesterday. Unfortunately the body has a few imperfections. Maybe a case of Tamiya's quality control not up to scratch? Anyway the shop I bought it at will exchange it for me. s1294.photobucket.com/user/Stevepickles/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpshzs4uxgo.jpg.html][/url]
