Hi I have noticed that there are not many lists of just good and cheap lipos. What lipos do you use would you recommend them? Odviously there are some packs that cost hundreds and give awesome performance. What cheap packs Are there and how do they preform? People like vapextech nimh's...... are there lipos any good? cheap ebay lipos?? and good ones in between all the rubbish? James

well the shell is fine coz i quickly ran over and tock it off and the only reason the car was ok it i managed to undo the batery cover and shake the lipo out lol. your right about the gearing. i havent done anything to it and have been meaning to for a week or so because of the high motor temps ive had. im thinking of putting it back to standard now. its just silly to run this little car with the powerful motor. just wait until my new cheap(i never learn) fs racing 1/10 scale touring car arrives from nitrotek. will have to try my brushless in that. anyone want to warn me before i ruin that? is the fs racing 1/10 scale touring car any good?

Thanks for the advice any ideas of a good brand of lipo to use. i figured that i have a 35amp esc and a 10c discharge 4000mah 40amps that i should be ok. i suppose this was the longest i had run the car on the battery and cooked it good lol. i got 3 more of these lipos left. 2 of witch are still brand new ? wonder if they will sell on the bay?

Go for it im using the ezrun 4600Kv brushless setup in my hornet. they have the same gearbox. just be careful if you choose to upgrade to lipos as well it might catch fire like mine lol. you will find the problem that using brushless in a 2wd car is useless . its just too fast and un controlable. sometimes even get wheelies =)

Hi Just a quick warning. i had a winforce 4000mah pack explode on me today. it was not being over drawn or mistreated and it was nearly new about 6 cycles in it has ruined my monster hornet some pics my burnt but still working receiver slightly toasted but also working servo just a warning. the bateries are cheap because there rubbish!
