Just wanted to know what you thought about the Spektrum DX5 5-Channel 2.4GHz, is it any good??? I heard it is good for beginners like myself which is good thing Do you know if this radio would be compatible with Futaba S3003 standard servos??? Thanks Ryan

I know what you mean, that blinker relay is annoying!!! The thing i especially like about the SMX's Scania V8 sound is that once you let go of the accelerator, the turbo whistle sounds cool So I think I have decided on the SMX with S20 option rather than the MFC-01 With the S20 I will have to buy 4 LED's, 2 for reverse lights and 2 for brake lights If you buy these seperately, you literally get the LED on a wire how would i connect them to the S20 unit???

I have narrowed it down to 2 options for my Scania R470 as i only have 4 channels... I'm either going to get a MFC-01 unit or a Servonaut SMX with an S20 Speed Control I'm drawn towards the MFC-01 because it has everything, light and sound: its better value for money but i'm drawn towards the SMX with S20 option because it has a much better sound What do you think is best???

I am thinking of getting a Servonaut SMX sound module with a S20 Speed Control and maybe a ML4 Light unit for my Scania R470 and need your help on a few things... Firstly could i run the SMX, S20, ML4, Steering Servo and Shift Servo on a Futaba 4VWD Transmitter and and R124H 4-channel Reciever??? If i need more channels, what should i do??? Or would an SMX run with say a normal Tamiya TEU-104BK ESC??? Would this overcome the channel problem??? Or instead of buying an S20 ESC should i buy a M20+ ESC??? Would i still need more than 4 channels??? Or could you buy a MFC-01 Unit and replace the sound unit for a SMX module??? Sorry if im asking too much but the newbie needs help If you could i would be grateful if someone could find me a solution to all of this if you take a look at this vid i want my truck to be very similar to this, but don't know where to start!!! Thanks Ryan

I did some research into the servonaut smx and now i am definately considering it but the thing is that i dont really want to spend another 199.00EUR just for an ESC Do you know of any other ESC's which are compatible with the smx???
-
...I have got a Scania R470 and was looking at Electronic Speed Controlers There are 2 ESC's which i am considering: the tamiya #45029 ESC or the Fuatba MC331CR ESC I just wanted your opinion on which one would be best for a tractor truck, especially for low speed driving If you have any other suggestions of ESC's which would be suitable, please advise!!! Thanks Ryan

I am thinking of buying a ServoNaut SMX Sound Module for a Scania R470 I just wanted to know if a normal Futaba ESC (which is £30) will work fine with the SMX sound module rather than forking out 199.00EUR for a M20+ ESC Thanks Ryan

Thanks again mate

Sorry what i ment was could you use the 2 s3003 servos for the steering and shift or do you need two different types of servo
-
Is there seperate servos for the shift and steering or do you use the same servo for both???
-
Thanks mate cleared that one up for me

Im new to the trucking scene and for the Scania R470, you need a steering servo and a shift servo Just looking at all the different servos that futaba have confused me what sevos do you need???

Hi, Just before ordering, just wanted to know how many cans of tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue would it take to spray the entire body to a good finish Thanks
-
Hi, Soon I may be getting a Scania R470. I want to go with the box art colour scheme but the tamiya paints are too small and expensive. What would you recommend as good alternatives to the TS-19 Metallic Blue and TS-29 Semi-Gloss Black Ive heard that Halfords car rattle can paints are good but dont really know Could you please advise me Thanks

Hi, Just wanted to know if anyone has bought from www.rcMart.com. I was thinking of buting a scania r470 from them but just wanted to check that they are not a bad website and that they are a trustworthy company so I dont waste my money Thanks
-
I like the look of both trucks and can't decide. As you said, I agree that the 6x4s do look too long especially when you put a trailer on them, they just don't look right The 2 axle trucks look much better with trailers, so I think I might get the R470
-
I just wondered which one you thought would be better, the MAN TGX or the SCANIA R470. I like both trucks and just dont know which one to get. As I don't want to spend too much I wanted to know which one you would recommend to me. Is the MAN TGX really worth the extra price?
-
When you put in the MFC-01 unit in the Scania R470, you have to take out the interior. I just wanted to ask if anyone knew what you would use to black out the windsreen so you couldn't see inside

I was thinking of painting my scania black, but what colour blck could I use. Could I use the same TS-29 Gloss Black which is used for the fenders or do I have to use a different colour black?
-
Thanks Iv'e had a look on a site called etamiya.com who sell it for £160 They also sell a lot of other tamiya trucks and accessories aswell Just thought this might help you
-
Does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy one of these is? Ive looked for ages but can't find any
-
