  1. Hello Pinny, Im about to try and fit a turning head driver so I thought I'd have a look at yours for reference, but I think there might something wrong my end! I can't view your photos on this thread, is says update account to 3rd party hosting... is it just me ?
  2. That's exactly who I was going to recommend. Great service and products at a fair price. I've bought loads from him over the years
  3. Are we going to see twin shocks at the rear.
  4. Looking good, don't let the thought of it put you off. You're doing well, the more you do the easier it gets and you'll learn your own techniques.. The same with the tyres, if it's re-joining the tyres back together that you're not happy about there are ways of making that easier.. keen to see how you've got on. keep those updates coming.
  5. I know its been niggling away at you and you've considered the drop bed, but save it for the next one Seriously !!!! You've done an awesome job with the whole build, looking forward to seeing a few pics of it outside.....
  6. NICE JOB !!!!! Really great looking Ranger.... when are you starting the drop bed at the rear.
  7. That's what I thought you might say, but also I was hoping you'd say there might be some animation down the line. That would be so cool.
  8. More nice work.... But I'm a little confused, is this just a CAD project that you're having fun building for the computer. Or are you going to 3D print everything and have a fully 3D printed WW ? Not quite sure what you're trying to gain from it, shapeways 3D printing isn't easy to get a smooth mirror gloss finish on. The thought of all the sanding and painting you'd needed to do to that body is terrifying. Don't get me wrong I'm loving all these CAD images of the 3D models, just wondering what the end game is
  9. As always, loving the detail.... I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
  10. Nice work, really nice work..... just got to get it to the beach and make a video..
  11. Wow, wow, wow, awesome work on the driver, loving the rolled up sleeves and collar etc... and looking forward to seeing those wheels...
  12. Wow, looking forward to this..... don't forget we could use smaller servo's, batteries, RX etc to give you even more space inside
  13. I've been told the same by Fusion, hopefully it will arrive in August
  14. Thanks for coming back to me so quickly, I think any idea that meant more members could see one of their own/best showroom pics could appear there would a create feature for all of us. Maybe for now you could increase the range to the top ten of each competition.. Coincidentally, that might mean I get to see one of mine or maybe even any model thats been favourited over a given number of times.
  15. Can I just say great work with the new site... thank you. I really like seeing different large photos on the home page every time you visit the site, can I ask a question. Are they random or have you personally selected a few different ones. I visit the site approx 10-15 times a day (sad I know) but I've started to notice a few of the same ones re-appearing. To be honest I thought if its random there's a chance of seeing a pic from my showroom or one of my buddies.. which got me visiting even more....
  16. Don't stress its real easy stuff to work with.... when you want to make two side identical always make the former/templates at the same time, and remember to make any changes to both templates as you work forward. I know that sounds obvious but its easy to forget/get carried away when working. Have Fun !!
  17. Cheers for that, I'll try and pick one of those up. Thanks
  18. Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting in on this I need to buy something to be able to track the speed... any ideas.. ????
  19. Quiet for a week !!!!! Nooooooooo! How will we cope without another update. I'll just have to go and watch paint dry. 😩
  20. Maybe it would be a pain to drive, but you're right that scorcher looks a lot more scale.. No probs on those tyres, any advice you need just pm me... I always reinforced the joint with the piece of tyre I'd cut out (after I'd dremelled it in to a flat piece of rubber.. I used black flexible super glue and normally did it a few centimetres at a time as I went round the tyre. If you get really stuck let me know, I've made a few different ones for different people who where building Funco's most famously @Sayroll keep putting up your pics, really liking this thread..
  21. Brilliant work, loving the concept and looking forward to seeing more.
  22. Ouch !! Keep that beast away from my ankles 🤕
  23. That's exactly the problem that I found, as I've said already, in this condition it's a shelter so I cut the back plate and double side taped them in place. I am considering trying different hubs so I can fit them properly but not spent any time on that idea yet. Its time I started on the body shell... 😃
  24. Here's it mounted... I need better lighting and I really need better tyre lettering any ideas or places to buy from ????
  25. Thanks for the questions about the work I did on the wheels. Unfortunately I've not many pics. First I just used a cutting disc on the dremel and cut off the parts the screws thread in to... Then sanded out the centre of the main wheel, leaving a 1.5mm lip to bond a strip of styrene 1.75mm tall on (so that the outer edge of the inner rim had something to sit and bon too. Which I painted matt black, then I just glued in the centre sections (after the material between the spokes had been removed. This is the not so nice side of the wheels... and the Dremel bit I used to go between the spokes, then there was a lot of sanding (between spokes) and even a little filling. Which had to be done because if you don't get it neat enough they look a ting bit messy when the wheels are turned.
