HI!... I have updated the modded BigWig now. It now has : - Hotshot aluminum driveshaft - HPI 5 spoke white wheels - Twister brushed motor - After market aluminum shocks I plan on making a "fake" 9.6 volt NiMh battery for it also. Currently painting another body for it as well.

HI!... I'm looking for several Tamiya BigWig body mount hooks. This is the pressed metal hook that mounts on the yellow hood scoop that hooks onto the rear gear box via a pin. I need at least 4 of these. Also looking for several Tamiya BigWig pressed steel instrument cluster bezels. Body mount hook : Gauge bezel :

HI!... Well I finally got around to putting this car together. All I can tell you is that AE needs to step up their game. Not impressed with this kit at all. 1st off almost every bag in the kit was missing something. Missing screws, washers, nuts. Not enough "o" rings for the shocks, 1 shock pivot dowel was missing. Went to put the Stealth trans together and no idler gear! Plus the slipper clutch rubs, and the countersink holes on the chassis are not deep enough. :x :roll: Anyway it's together. I went the vintage coarse with it. Vintage Novak electronics, Ae stock motor. Even cut the rear bulkhead to match the old school one. Just went with some modern wheels. Now I want to go boxart on this so bad but my painting skills are lacking. Who would the best person to talk to to get a box art body done by?

HI!... This is why I run a 11.1 Volt Lipo and BL set-up in mine. lol

HI!... If they do re-re the BigWig I bet it won't be until 2016. That will be the BigWig's 30TH anniversary. Tamiya won't have to make too many parts to re-re it. Front and rear gearboxes are the same as Hotshot/Supershot/Boomerang. And share a ton of parts for those cars. Chassis, body, wheels and some other small parts is all that is needed. I kinda hope they don't re-re it. I have 8 fully restored BigWig's and would like for them to hold some value. lol

HI!... Well started putting together more parts and decided to build yet another BigWig again. lol

HI!... Well started working in this one as well. I didn't paint the body, it came with another car but the body was new and painted very well. Just not my choice of colours. lol. Might do something similar, but with blue/white/orange. I added a few decals to it to make it look better for now.

HI!... Well finally got some spare time to get back to this. I got the body all cut out and painted. On this BigWig I went with a metallic black/white paint scheme.

HI!... Well some more stuff showed up on the weekend. Tamiya Super Shot MSC. This one will be converted to a BigWig one. It actually came with the super rare resistor mounts. When I was restoring my original Super Shot it took me forever to find two of these : CRP HotShot A-arm stabilizer : A lot of tires/rims I got for $20. HI!... LOL! Ya I I just found two containers of BigWig parts I didn't know I had. Looks like there will be a BigWig #7 coming soon and a BigWig #8 runner. Going to go BL and LiPo on the runner.

HI!... This is Tamiya BigWig #6. This one will have a ton of after market parts that were designed for the BigWig. This is what I got put together so far. HI!... Well this will be Tamiya BigWig #5. This one will be a full restoration built to stock out of the box condition, except the body will not be the traditional Blue/White. I'm going to go a Metallic Black/White combination. This is what I have done so far. It's basically done. Just need to paint the body and get some of the steering boots.

HI!... O.k got a few things today. 1st is a Team Associated RC10 mid motor. Probably going to redo this one. The smurf blue is not my thing. All the plastic will be dyed black as well. It came with a spare "A" gold chassis as well : Got a bunch more Tamiya BigWig stuff as well. I'm currently working on #5 and #6 at the same time. Also picked up a almost complete Tamiya BigWig car. This one caught my eye because it had some rare items on it. Never seen the front or rear sway bar set-ups before? Also it has a fiberglass rear shock support, and 50% of a after market front bumper. The Moon Craft wheels are in excellent shape and it has the original Technigold motor in it. Too bad it's missing the sub chassis and MSC. The body was painted very well. Just not my choice of colours. lol! Also got a assortment of tires/wheels. 90% NEW. The black rims are aluminum and look to be never used. Don't know who makes them? Also got a black RC10 stealth trans and extra parts : Picked up a set of original vintage Tamiya Grasshopper decals as well :
